Attack damage (or AD) directly increases the physical damage of a unit's autoattack and also improves the damage some champion abilities do. Every champion starts with some base attack damage that increases each level. Additionally, several items and champion abilities, as well as spells, buffs, runes and masteries grant bonus attack damage. The champion's total attack damage is the base attack damage plus the bonus attack damage.

This statistic stacks additively in most circumstances. When there are percentile attack damage bonuses, they are first added together if there are several sources and then they multiply the total attack damage of the champion.

At level 18, base attack damage ranges from 85.6 ( Thresh) to 129.7 ( Cho'Gath and Skarner).

Attack Damage has a theoretical gold value of 40 gold per unit. This means that B. F. Sword and Pickaxe are the most efficient AD core items, with a gold/AD ratio of 34.4 and 35 respectively. The costs of these stats are always offset by increased final costs of their upgraded items, so The Bloodthirster and Infinity Edge still break even at 40 gold per 1 AD.

  • Atma's Impaler: Unique passive: 1.5% of your maximum health is granted as bonus attack damage. +45 armor, +15% critical strike chance. 2300 gold.
  • B. F. Sword: +45 attack damage. 1550 gold.
  • Bilgewater Cutlass: +25 attack damage, +12% life steal. Unique Active: Target champion suffers 100 magic damage and is slowed by 25% for 2 seconds. 90 second cooldown and 500 range. 1400 gold.
  • Blade of the Ruined King: +25 attack damage, +15% life steal, +40% attack speed. Unique Passive: Your attacks deal 5% of the target's current health in physical damage (60 max vs. minions). Unique Active: Drains target champion, dealing 15% of the champion's maximum health in physical damage and healing you by the same amount. Additionally, you steal 30% of their movement speed for 4 seconds. 60 second cooldown and 500 range. 3200 gold.
  • Executioner's Calling: +25 attack damage, +15% Critical Strike Chance. Unique Passive: Your basic attacks inflict Grievous Wounds on enemy champions, causing 50% reduced healing and regeneration for 1.5 seconds. 1900 gold.
  • Frozen Mallet: +30 attack damage, +700 health. Unique Passive - Icy: Your basic attacks slow your target's Movement Speed by 40% for 1.5 seconds (30% slow for ranged attacks). 3300 gold.
  • Guinsoo's Rageblade: +30 attack damage, +40 ability power. Passive: On autoattack or spellcast, increases your attack speed by 4% and ability power by 4. This buff lasts for 5 seconds and stacks up to 8 times. Unique Passive: Falling below 50% health grants you 20% attack speed, 10% life steal, and 10% spell vamp until you exit combat. 30 second cooldown. 2600 gold.
  • Hexdrinker: +25 attack damage, +25 magic resistance. Unique Passive - Lifeline: If you would take magic damage which would leave you at less than 30% of your maximum health, you first gain a shield which absorbs up to 250 magic for up to 5 seconds. 60 second cooldown. 1350 gold.
  • Hextech Gunblade: +45 attack damage, +65 ability power, +10% life steal. Unique Passive: +20% spell vamp. Unique Passive: Your basic attacks and single target spells against champions reduce the cooldown of this item by 3 seconds. Unique Active: Deals 150 + 40% AP magic damage and slows the target champion by 40% for 2 seconds. 60 second cooldown and 700 range. 3400 gold.
  • Infinity Edge: +70 attack damage, +25% critical strike chance. Unique Passive: +50% critical strike damage. 3800 gold.
  • Last Whisper: +40 attack damage. Unique Passive: +35% armor penetration. 2300 gold.

  • Maw of Malmortius: +55 attack damage. Unique Passive: Gain +1 attack damage for every 2.5% health missing. +36 magic resistance. Unique Passive: If you would take magic damage which would leave you at less than 30% of your maximum health, you first gain a shield which absorbs up to 400 magic damage for 5 seconds. 90 second cooldown. 3200 gold
  • Mercurial Scimitar: +60 attack damage, +45 magic resist. Unique Active - Quicksilver: Removes all debuffs from your champion. If your champion is Melee, this item also grants 50% bonus movement speed for 1 second. 90 second cooldown. 3700 gold.
  • Muramana: +20 attack damage. Unique Passive - Awe: You gain attack damage equal to 2% of your maximum mana. +1000 mana, +7 mana regeneration per 5. Toggle: Your single target spells and attack consume 3% of your current mana to deal twice the amount as physical damage. 2100 gold.
  • Phage: +20 attack damage, +200 health. Unique Passive - Icy: 25% chance on hit to slow target by 30% (20% if it is a ranged attack) for 2 seconds. 1465 gold.
  • Pickaxe: +25 attack damage. 875 gold.
  • Ravenous Hydra: +75 attack damage, +15 health regen per 5, +12 lifesteal. Passive: Damage dealt by this item works with life steal. Unique Passive - Cleave: Your attacks deal up to 60% of your attack damage to units around your target - decaying down to 20% near the edge. Unique Active - Crescent: Deals up to 100% of your attack damage to units around you - decaying down to 60% near the edge. 10 second cooldown. 3300 gold.
  • Spirit of the Elder Lizard: +45 attack damage, +14 health regeneration, +7 mana regeneration, +10% cooldown reduction. Unique Passive - Butcher: Damage to dealt to monsters increased by 25%. Unique Passive - Incinerate: Basic attacks and non-periodic spell damage burn the target for 6-40 (based on level) true damage over 3 seconds. 2000 gold.
  • The Black Cleaver: +50 attack damage, +200 health, +10% cooldown, Unique: +10 armor penetration. Unique passive: Dealing physical damage to an enemy champion reduces their armor by 5% for 4 seconds. This effect stacks up to 5 times. 3000 gold.
  • The Brutalizer: +25 attack damage. Unique Passive: +10 armor penetration, +10% cooldown reduction. 1337 gold.
  • Tiamat: +40 attack damage, +15 health regeneration. Unique Passive - Cleave: Your attacks deal up to 60% of your attack damage to units around your target - decaying down to 20% near the edge. Unique Active - Crescent: Deals up to 100% of your attack damage to units around you - decaying down to 60% near the edge. 10 second cooldown. 1900 gold.
  • Trinity Force: +30 attack damage, +30 ability power, +30% attack speed, +10% critical strike chance, +250 health, +200 mana, +8% movement speed. Unique Passive - Icy: On hit, 25% chance for target to be slowed by 30% (20% for ranged attack) for 2 seconds. Classic Edit

  • The Bloodthirster: +70 attack damage. Passive: Gain +1 attack damage and +0.2% life steal per kill up to a maximum of +30 attack damage and +6% life steal. Half of the stacks are lost upon death.+12% life steal. 3200 gold.
  • Doran's Blade: +10 attack damage, +80 health. Passive: Your basic attacks restore 5 health each time they hit an enemy. 475 gold.
  • Elixir of Fortitude: On use, grants 15 attack damage and 120–235 health, based on champion level for 3 minutes. 350 gold.
  • Sword of the Occult: +10 attack damage. Unique passive: You gain +5 attack damage per stack, receiving 2 stacks for a kill or 1 stack for an assist. This effect can stack 20 times; you lose a third of your stacks if you die. At 20 stacks, you gain +15% movement speed. 1200 gold.
  • Wriggle's Lantern: +15 attack damage, +30 armor, +10% life steal. Unique Passive - Maim: Your basic attacks against minions and monster have a 25% chance to deal 500 bonus magic damage. Unique Active: Places an invisible Sight Ward that reveals the surrounding area for 3 minutes. 3 minute cooldown. 1600 gold.

Dominion Edit

  • Entropy: +70 attack damage, +275 health. Unique Passive - Icy: 25% chance on hit to slow target by 30% for 2.5 seconds. Unique active: For 5 seconds, your attacks reduce your target's movement speed by 30% and deal 80 true damage over 2.5 seconds. 60 second cooldown. 3615 gold.
  • Kitae's Bloodrazor: +30 attack damage, +40% attack speed. Unique Passive: On hit, target suffers magic damage equal to 2.5% of the target's maximum health. 2525 gold.
  • Prospector's Blade: +20 attack damage, +5% life steal. Unique passive: +200 health (does not stack with other Prospector items). 950 gold.
  • Sanguine Blade: +65 attack damage. Unique passive: On hit, you gain 6 attack damage and 1% life steal. This buff lasts for 4 seconds and stacks up to 5 times. +15% life steal. 3150 gold.
  • The Lightbringer: +50 attack damage, +20 armor, +12% lifesteal. UNIQUE passive - Vanquish: Basic attacks have a 20% chance to deal 100 bonus magic damage (doubled for non-champions). UNIQUE passive - Trap Detection: Nearby stealthed enemy traps are revealed. UNIQUE active: Cover s a target area in a stealth-detecting mist that grants vision for 10 seconds. 60 second cooldown. 2425 gold.

Twisted Treeline Edit

  • Grez's Spectral Lantern: +20 attack damage, +20 Armor. Unique Passive: Your basic attacks against minions and monsters have a 20% chance to deal 200 bonus magic damage. Unique Active: A stealth-detecting mist grants vision in the target area for 10 seconds. 60 second cooldown. 1200 gold.
  • Ichor of Rage: Grants 20-42 Attack Damage based on champion level, 20-42% Attack Speed based on champion level, and 15% increased damage to Turrets for 4 minutes. 500 gold.

  • Alistar's  Unbreakable Will increases his attack damage by 60 / 75 / 90 for 7 seconds.
  • Dr. Mundo's  Masochism increases his attack damage by 40 / 55 / 70 / 85 / 100 plus 0.4 / 0.55 / 0.7 / 0.85 / 1 per 1% health he is missing for 5 seconds.
  • Fiora's  Riposte increases her attack damage by 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 / 35.
  • Gangplank's  Raise Morale passively increases his attack damage by 8 / 10 / 12 / 14 / 16. He can activate this ability to increase his attack damage by 12 / 19 / 26 / 33 / 40 instead and nearby allied champions' attack damage by half of that amount for 7 seconds.
  • Gragas's  Drunken Rage increases his attack damage by 30 / 40 / 50 / 60 / 70 for 20 seconds.
  • Hecarim's  Warpath passive gains attack damage equal to 10 / 12.5 / 15 / 17.5 / 20 / 22.5 / 25% of his bonus movement speed.
  • Janna's  Eye Of The Storm increases an allied unit's attack damage by 14 / 23 / 32 / 41 / 50 for 5 seconds.
  • Malphite's  Brutal Strikes increases his attack damage by 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40% for 6 seconds.
  • Master Yi's  Wuju Style passively increases his attack damage by 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 when the ability is not on cooldown and grants double that bonus for 10 seconds on activation. It is possible to have both bonuses activated if the cooldown gets refreshed during those 10 seconds
  • Nasus's  Fury of the Sands grants him 6.375% of the damage it deals as attack damage.
  • Nocturne's  Duskbringer grants him 15 / 25 / 35 / 45 / 55 attack damage as long as he is on the trail created by the ability.
  • Olaf's  Vicious Strikes increases his attack damage by 7 / 14 / 21 / 28 / 35 (+1% of maximum health) for 6 seconds.
  • Poppy's  Paragon of Demacia increases her attack damage by 1.5 / 2 / 2.5 / 3 / 3.5 when she is hit by an attack or hits an enemy. This buff lasts for 5 seconds and stacks up to 10 times. She can activate this ability to gain max stacks.
  • Rammus's  Spiked Shell passively increases his attack damage by 25% of his armor.
  • Riven's  Blade of the Exile increases her attack damage by 20% for 15 seconds.
  • Sion's  Enrage increases his attack damage by 25 / 35 / 45 / 55 / 65 for as long as the ability is toggled on.

  • Tryndamere's  Mocking Shout decreases surrounding enemy champions' attack damage by 20 / 35 / 50 / 65 / 80 for 4 seconds.

Rammus's  Spiked Shell increases his attack damage by 25% of his armor. This includes his base armor and is an innate passive ability thus essentially increasing his base damage unlike all other ranked champion abilities which are temporary or situational boosts to damage. The increase to Rammus' damage is 6.2 at level 1 for a total of 59.7 and 22.35 at level 18 for a total of 135.35.

Gangplank's  Raise Morale, Tryndamere's  Bloodlust, and Fiora's  Riposte are abilities that passively increases their respective champions' attack damage. They are ranked abilities and thus cannot be counted on for a bonus at level 1. However, arguments could be made that at level 18 they will have 5 ranks and thus this will increase their damage permanently.
