Cheap Shot is a rune in League of Legends icon League of Legends.



Notes[]

  • Cripple icon Cripple does not count as a valid crowd control for Cheap Shot.
  • Cheap Shot checks the status of the potential target every time damage is dealt to an enemy champion, during the damage event's on-deal-pre-drain phase.
    • CC that is applied on-hit (e.g. Alistar's Alistar's Trample Trample) will be there before this check occurs, CC that is applied on-pre-apply (e.g. Rylai's Crystal Scepter Rylai's Crystal Scepter) will not. Either will be applied on the same game tick, but may belong to a different cast-instance than the damage (see rule below).
  • Cheap Shot may not trigger on damage that is applied on the same game tick as a crowd control effect from the same cast instance.
    • If the target is already under the effects of crowd control, this does not apply.
      • This also occurs if the target is under the effect of CC from a neutral monster (e.g. Baron Nashor Baron Nashor), despite Cheap Shot not triggering on non-teammate crowd control.(bug)
    • Abilities such as Lux's Lux's Lucent Singularity Lucent Singularity can apply a crowd control effect themselves and deal damage at a delay, skipping the same game tick rule and applying Cheap Shot on their own.
    • Once Cheap Shot has triggered on a cast instance, it clears this marker for the next time the same cast instance applies a crowd control effect.
  • All Basic Attack Basic damage (Note: All damage with this damage tag, not only damage from basic attacks) is considered the same cast instance to Cheap Shot
  • Damage over time effects applied before a crowd control may also trigger Cheap Shot on a damage tick once an eligible effect has been applied.

  • Domination icon Domination Slot 1 rune.
    • Passive: Your attacks and damaging abilities deal 12 − 30 (based on level) bonus true damage to Slow icon slowed or Stun icon immobilized enemy champions.
    • Note that attacks or abilities that impair the target will not trigger that bonus damage themselves, unless the target is already impaired.
    • Cooldown: 4 seconds.
