Master Yi Poetry with a Blade
Doran
Doran (Universe)Doran (Universe)

"Master Doran, this is from Wukong. He couldn't make the journey with me, but he wanted me to bring you his favorite fruit. He loves his staff, almost as much as he loves making fun of the helmet you gave me."

Master Doran was a legendary blacksmith of the Meditate Wuju Order from Wuju, the same village Master Yi Master Yi was a part of. He was respected throughout Wuju for his skill with hammer and anvil. Doran desires nothing more than to craft the best blades in the world, but does not forge them for battle.

Background[]

Taught by Ornn Ornn[]

Although the birthplace of Doran remains unknown, he received instruction from the God of the Forge, Ornn Ornn, prior to journeying to Wuju. This may suggest a potential connection to the Freljord Crest icon Freljord.

Life in Wuju[]

At some point, Doran would travel and settle in Wuju, because only they saw his weapons the same way as he did, a tool not to be used for bloodshed. Though he was once an outsider to the village, Wuju’s smiths and masters had embraced him, so legendary was his skill with hammer and anvil. Every four seasons, he would make a pilgrimage south of the village, to Mistfall, a sacred site of a long forgotten, ancient battlefield. He would be accompanied three times by Master Hurong, Yi's master, and later by a young Yi Yi.

Doran would come to Mistfall to leave his blades there as a token of his vow to never again to participate in the violence and bloodshed of war. Since Doran never had the intention for his weapons to be used in war, the spirits of Mistfall granted his blades blessings that would last.

At some point, Doran, created a Staff Staff and the Seven Lenses of Insight Seven Lenses of Insight and gave them to a now Master Yi Master Yi.[1]

Noxian Invasion of Ionia and Death[]

During the Noxian Invasion, Master Yi Master Yi followed by the other masters fought of the Noxian troops and tried to help liberate Navori. With the village of Wuju unprotected, it was destroyed by Noxus Crest icon Noxus and its chemical weapons it gained from Zaun Crest icon Zaun, corrupting the land on which it once stood. No villager survived, including Master Doran and Yi's parents, leaving Yi the only original surviving member of Meditate Wuju Order.

Appearance[]

Doran was a old man with a long white beard and his hair tied up into a bun. He wore a loose yellow robe with red hems, tied togheter with a similarly colored red belt. He wears loose light blue pants and long fingerless gloves in the same color, connected between the middle and ring finger.

Personality[]

Doran showed to be an unkempt, absentminded, and eccentric old man. Even though he carried himself with a certain nonchalance, his more deeper wisdom would sometimes still surface during important moments.

Abilities[]

Relations[]

Master Yi Master Yi[]

Doran trained Master Yi by taking him to Mistfall, where he learned how to imbue his weapon with spirit energy.
