Fizz is an amphibious yordle, who dwells among the reefs surrounding Bilgewater. He often retrieves and returns the tithes cast into the sea by superstitious captains, but even the saltiest of sailors know better than to cross him—many are the tales of those who have underestimated this slippery character. Often mistaken for some manner of capricious ocean spirit, he commands the huge, carnivorous beasts of the deep, and delights in confounding his allies and enemies alike.

Centuries ago, an ancient water-dwelling race built a hidden city beneath a mountain in the sea. Though these creatures had their enemies, the city was an impenetrable fortress, and, in the safety it provided, they grew complacent. Fizz, however, harbored a curious spirit that could not be satisfied living so cushioned a life. Unable to resist the allure of danger, Fizz had a habit of sneaking out of the city to look for trouble. In his many adventures he grew to be a powerful fighter with a keen resourcefulness that let him skirt danger with clever ease. One day, Fizz returned to find the city abandoned: his people had vanished, leaving Fizz without a clue to explain their disappearance. With nothing left in the city to keep him, Fizz salvaged an enchanted Seastone Trident trident from the ruins and set out alone.

For years, Fizz wandered the ocean, using the skills he'd learned during his adventures as a young boy to survive. Finally, Fizz discovered the port of Bilgewater. He was fascinated with the existence of life above the water and could not resist exploring the island. In his endless curiosity, Fizz inadverently meddled in the affairs of the humans who lived there and his presence did not go unnoticed. His mischief angered many residents who eventually sought to capture or kill him. Fizz found himself cornered, and he prepared to return to the sea despite the fondness he'd come to hold for Bilgewater. As he stood at the docks, a massive Chum the Waters dragon-shark attacked the port. Fizz defeated the beast, using his resourcefulness and knowledge of the creature's weaknesses to his advantage. Having earned the gratitude and respect of the humans, Fizz decided to stay in Bilgewater.

Active: Fizz throws a fish in a line that binds itself onto the first enemy champion it hits, Slow icon slowing them for 1.5 seconds.

For the next 6 seconds, Fizz's magic damage against them is increased by 20% excluding Chum the Waters's own.

After 1.5 seconds, a shark comes out from the earth to eat the fish, regardless of its position. Enemies hit are dealt magic damage and are Slow icon slowed for 1.5 seconds afterwards.

Magic Damage:
200 / 325 / 450 (+ 100% AP)

If a champion has the fish attached to them, the shark Airborne icon knocks them up for 1 second. Other nearby enemies are Airborne icon knocked away instead. The fish provides True Sight icon true sight of its area of effect, and stays at the location it was thrown to until it binds to an enemy champion or is eaten.

Ability Details
Chum the Waters is a linear, collision skillshot with an area of effect component.

Additional Information:

  • Chum the Waters will only attach the fish to an enemy champion and will pass through all terrain and non-champion targets.
    • If the fish is thrown onto a target without an active spell shield, the target will be slowed. If the spell shield activates while the fish is already latched on, the slow will remain but the shark's damage and knockup will be negated, consuming the shield.
  • The fish's slow can be removed by Cleanse Cleanse, Quicksilver Sash item Quicksilver Sash, Mikael's Crucible item Mikael's Crucible, Unbreakable Will Unbreakable Will, Dark Frenzy Dark Frenzy, Remove Scurvy Remove Scurvy, Decisive Strike Decisive Strike, Highlander Highlander, and Ragnarok Ragnarok.
    • The fish will still remain and the shark will still appear.
  • Chum the Waters can hit stealthed units and will be revealed if the fish hits them and until the shark appears.
    • The shark will also damage untargetable champions.
      • If the target the fish latched on to dies before the shark appears, the moment the target dies the shark will appear immediately.
