Rage Gene
Rage Gene

While in Mini Gnar form, Gnar generates 4 / 7 / 11 Rage over 3 seconds upon dealing or receiving damage and 「 0.5 / 0.75 / 1.25 」「 2 / 3 / 5 」 Rage whenever he damages at least one 「 non-champion 」「 champion 」 with a basic attack or Boomerang Throw.png Boomerang Throw. Gnar's Rage decays if he has not dealt or taken damage in the last 13 seconds.

Rage Gene 2

At max Rage his next ability will cause him to transform, modifying his abilities and stats for 15 seconds while his Rage depletes. Gnar will transform anyways after 4 seconds if he does not use an ability. Once his Rage is exhausted, Gnar transforms back into Mini Gnar, retaining the same percent health, and is tired and unable to generate Rage for 15 seconds.

Ability Details
Rage Gene is a shapeshifting ability with a self-targeted buff component.

Additional Information:

  • Mega Gnar Mega Gnar's gained health is not affected by Grievous Wounds icon Grievous Wounds or increased healing from items and masteries.
  • When returning to Gnar Mini Gnar, Gnar will only retain his current health percentage, not current health total.
    • This is intentional to prevent Gnar from simply triggering Rage Gene in order to heal himself over time.
  • Gnar's abilities share cooldowns across forms.

Boomerang Throw

Gnar Mini Gnar - Active: Gnar throws a boomerang forward in a line that deals physical damage and Slow icon slows enemies for 2 seconds. The boomerang returns towards Gnar in a fixed line after hitting an enemy, dealing 50% damage to subsequent targets. The boomerang will also return after reaching maximum range. Each enemy can only be hit once. Catching the boomerang reduces its cooldown by 45 / 50 / 55 / 60%.

Mega Gnar Mega Gnar - Active: Gnar throws a boulder that stops when it hits an enemy, applying Boomerang Throw.png Boomerang Throw's Slow icon slow to all nearby enemies and dealing physical damage. Picking up the boulder reduces its cooldown by 60%.

  • Physical Damage: 5 / 45 / 85 / 125 / 165 (+ 120% AD)
Ability Details
Boomerang Throw / Boulder Toss is a direction-targeted ability with a point-blank area of effect component.

Additional Information:

  • The bonus cooldown reduction is calculated the moment the boomerang/boulder is used and not when it's retrieved.
  • The boomerang return direction is calculated at the apex of its flight.
  • Since the cooldown between the two is shared Mini Gnar may pick up a boulder and/or Mega Gnar may catch a boomerang.
  • Boulder Toss has a projectile speed of 2100, which is faster than Boomerang Throw's 1400 projectile speed.
  • Using Boomerang Throw during Hop.png Hop will cause the boomerang to travel 1100 units from the destination where Gnar jumped.
    • As a result the boomerang animation glitches slightly in height.
  • Gnar is locked out of picking up his boulder for 0.3 seconds after throwing it.

Gnar Mini Gnar - Passive: Every Hyper 2.png third attack or ability on the same target deals bonus magic damage (capped against monsters) and grants Gnar 30 / 45 / 60 / 75% bonus movement speed that decays over 3 seconds.

Gnar Mini Gnar - Active: Gnar leaps to a target location, gaining bonus attack speed for 3 seconds.

  • Physical Damage: 20 / 60 / 100 / 140 / 180 (+ 6% maximum health)

If Gnar lands on a unit he will bounces off it, travelling further. Deals physical damage and Slow icon slows by 80% for 0.5 seconds if the unit landed on was an enemy.

  • Attack Speed: 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 / 60%
Crunch
RANGE: 475 / 375 / 200
Crunch

Mega Gnar Mega Gnar - Active: Gnar leaps to a target location and deals Hop's damage to nearby enemies on landing. Enemies Gnar lands directly on top of are dealt Hop's Slow icon slow.

Hop and Crunch

If Crunch is used to transform, Gnar will still be able to bounce. Crunch's area of effect is dealt in both areas, though enemies can only be damaged once.

Mega Gnar Mega Gnar - Active: Gnar Airborne icon knocks nearby enemies in the target direction, dealing physical damage and Slow icon slowing them by 45%.

「 Physical Damage: 200 / 300 / 400 (+ 20% bonus AD) (+ 50% AP) 」「 Increased Damage: 300 / 450 / 600 (+ 30% bonus AD) (+ 75% AP) 」

Enemies that hit a wall take 150% damage and are Stun icon stunned instead of Slow icon slowed.

  • Disable Duration: 1.25 / 1.5 / 1.75
