Health Regeneration is a Champion statistic that defines the rate at which health is naturally restored over time. Health Regeneration is measured in-game by a stat called HP5 (Health Per 5 seconds). HP5 describes how many hit points are restored in a 5-second window. The actual healing effect from regeneration is applied every half-second, not every 5 seconds. This stat is similar to Mana Regeneration, although health regenerates more slowly than mana. Health regenerated over time is considered to be a form of healing for the purposes of healing increases or decreases, and for the sake of the "Healing Done" stat at the end of game screen. There are many items, abilities, and buffs which can increase HP5 either permanently or temporarily.

  • Aegis of the Legion item.png Aegis of the Legion: Unique Aura – Legion: Nearby allies gain +75% base health regeneration, and 20 magic resist. +200 health, +20 magic resist. 1900 gold.
  • Doran's Shield item.png Doran's Shield: Passive: Restores 6 health every 5 seconds. +80 health. Unique Passive: Blocks 8 damage from single target attacks and spells from champions. 440 gold.
  • Face of the Mountain item.png Face of the Mountain: +100% base health regeneration, +500 health, +10% cooldown reduction. Unique Passive – Spoils of War: Melee basic attacks execute minions below 400 + (100% AD) health. Killing a minion by any means heals yourself and the nearest allied champion for 50 + (1% of your maximum health) health and grants them kill gold. These effects require a nearby allied champion and consume a charge. Recharges every 30 seconds for a maximum of 4 charges. Unique Active: Shield target ally for 10% of your maximum health for 4 seconds. After 4 seconds, the shield explodes, dealing (100% of the target's AD) + (30% of the target's AP) magic damage, regardless of if the shield remained intact (60 second cooldown). You may only be in possession of 1 Gold Income item. 2200 gold.
  • Locket of the Iron Solari item.png Locket of the Iron Solari: Unique Aura – Legion: Nearby allies gain +75% base health regeneration, and 20 magic resist. +400 health, +20 magic resistance, +10% cooldown reduction. Unique Active: Shield yourself and nearby allies for 5 seconds, absorbing up to 50 + (10 × level) damage (60 second cooldown). 2800 gold.
  • Nomad's Medallion item.png Nomad's Medallion: +25% base health regeneration, +25% base mana regeneration, +10 movement speed, +2 gold per 10 seconds. Unique Passive – Favor: Grants 3 gold and restores 5 health each time a nearby enemy minion dies that you didn't kill. You may only be in possession of 1 Gold Income item. 865 gold.
  • Ravenous Hydra item.png Ravenous Hydra: +100% base health regeneration, +75 attack damage, +12% life steal. Passive: Life steal applies to damage dealt by this item. Unique Passive – Cleave: Basic attacks deal 20% to 60% of your attack damage to units around your target – (20% AD near the edge). Unique Active – Crescent: Deals 60% to 100% of your attack damage to units around you – (60% AD near the edge) (10 second cooldown). 3300 gold.
  • Rejuvenation Bead item.png Rejuvenation Bead: +50% base health regeneration. 180 gold.
  • Spectre's Cowl.png Spectre's Cowl: Unique Passive: Grants 150% base health regen for up to 10 seconds after taking damage from an enemy champion. +200 health, +35 magic resistance. 1200 gold.
  • Talisman of Ascension item.png Talisman of Ascension: +100% base health regeneration, +100% base mana regeneration, +20 movement speed, +10% cooldown reduction, +2 gold per 10 seconds. Unique Passive – Favor: Grants 3 gold and restores 10 health each time a nearby enemy minion dies that you didn't kill. Unique Active: Grants nearby allies +40% movement speed for 3 seconds (60 second cooldown) (600 range). You may only be in possession of 1 Gold Income item. 2100 gold.
  • Reaper's Emblem item.jpg Targon's Brace: +50% base health regeneration, +175 health. Unique Passive – Spoils of War: Melee autoattacks execute minions below 240 + (100% AD) health. Killing a minion by any means heals yourself and the nearest allied champion for 50 health and grants them kill gold. These effects require a nearby allied champion and consume a charge. Recharges every 30 seconds for a maximum of 3 charges. You may only be in possession of 1 Gold Income item. 865 gold.
  • Spirit Visage item.png Spirit Visage: +100% base health regeneration. Unique Passive: Increases self-healing, health regen, lifesteal, and spell vamp effects by 20%. +400 health, +55 magic resistance, +10% cooldown reduction. 2750 gold.
  • Tiamat item.png Tiamat: +100% base health regeneration, +40 attack damage. Unique Passive – Cleave: Basic attacks deal 20% to 60% of your attack damage to units around your target – (20% AD near the edge). Unique Active – Crescent: Deals 60% to 100% of your attack damage to units around you – (60% AD near the edge) (10 second cooldown). 1900 gold.

  • STH Banshee's Veil item.png Banshee's Veil: +100% base health regeneration, +450 health, +55 magic resistance. Unique Passive: Grants a spell shield that blocks the next enemy ability. This shield refreshes after no damage is taken from enemy champions for 40 seconds. 2750 gold.
  • H Guardian's Horn item.png Guardian's Horn: +125% base health regeneration, +200 health. Unique Passive: Nearby enemy spellcasts reduce the cooldown of Battle Cry by 1 second. Unique Active – Battle Cry: Gain 30% movement speed, 20 armor and 20 magic resistance for 3 seconds (25 second cooldown). 1015 gold.
  • H Orb of Winter item.png Orb of Winter: +100% base health regeneration, +70 magic resistance. Unique Passive: Grants a shield that absorbs up to 30 + (10 × level) damage. The shield will refresh after 9 seconds without receiving damage. 2200 gold.
  • S Warmog's Armor item.png Warmog's Armor: Unique Passive: Restores 1% of maximum health every 5 seconds. Health restore increases to 3% of maximum health if damage hasn't been taken within 8 seconds. +800 health. 2500 gold.
  • S Zz'Rot Portal item.png Zz'Rot Portal: +100% base health regeneration, +60 armor, +60 magic resistance. Unique Passive - Point Runner: Grants +30% bonus movement speed that builds up over 2 seconds when near turrets (including fallen turrets) or Void Gates. Unique Active – Spawns a Void Gate at target location for 150 seconds. Every 4 seconds the gate creates a volatile VoidspawnSquare.png Voidspawn that travels down the nearest lane, attacking enemy minions and exploding when attacking structures, but ignoring champions and void targets. 150 second cooldown. 2800 gold.

  • FioraSquare.png Fiora's Duelist.png Duelist grants Fiora 5.83 + (0.83 × level) health regeneration for 6 seconds each time she deals physical damage. Striking champions will cause this effect to stack up to 4 times.
  • GarenSquare.png Garen's Perseverance.png Perseverance allows him to regenerate 0.4 / 0.8 / 2.0% of his maximum health per second after not taking damage (excluding minions) for 9 / 6 / 4 seconds.
  • HeimerdingerSquare.png Heimerdinger's Techmaturgical Repair Bots.png Techmaturgical Repair Bots increases the health regeneration of nearby evolution turrets and allied champions by 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 / 30.
  • MasterYiSquare.png Master Yi's Meditate.png Meditate increases his health regeneration by 60 / 100 / 140 / 180 / 220 (+0.6 AP) for the duration. The healing effect is increased by 1% for every 1% of his missing health.
  • ShenSquare.png Shen's Vorpal Blade.png Vorpal Blade marks its target for 5 seconds; champions who damage the marked target gain 10 / 16.67 / 23.33 / 30 / 36.67 (+2.5% of Shen's maximum health) health regeneration for 3 seconds. ShenSquare.png Shen heals instantly for 1/3 of the total health regenerated instead if he kills a target with Vorpal Blade.png Vorpal Blade.
  • SingedSquare.png Singed's Insanity Potion.png Insanity Potion increases his health regeneration by 35 / 50 / 80 for 25 seconds.
  • VladimirSquare.png Vladimir's Tides of Blood.png Tides of Blood increases his healing and regeneration by 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8%. This buff lasts for 10 seconds and stacks up to 4 times.
  • VolibearSquare.png Volibear's Chosen of the Storm.png Chosen of the Storm can regenerate 30% of his maximum health over 6 seconds once every two minutes when his health drops below 30%.

Masteries

  • Strength of Spirit mastery s4.png Strength of Spirit increases health regeneration by 1 for every 300 mana you have.
  • Recovery mastery s4.png Recovery increases health regeneration by 1 / 2.
  • Perseverance mastery s4.png Perseverance heals for 0.35 / 0.675 / 1% of your missing health every 5 seconds.
  • Second Wind mastery s4.png Second Wind increases healing and regeneration by 10% when you are below 25% health.
