Additional Information:

  • Relentless Assault will be triggered on attacking structures.
  • Attacks that trigger Relentless Assault will always refresh the duration of the buff, including when at maximum stacks.

Ability Details
Empower is an on-hit effect.
  • Applies spell effects as a single target ability.
  • The triggering attack will apply other on-hit effects and can critically strike as normal.
    • Critical strikes will not interact with Empower's bonus damage.
    • The bonus damage will not trigger on structures.
    • The enhanced attack can not be Counter Strike.png dodged.
    • Empower's damage will not be mitigated if Jax's attack is Aegis Protection.png blocked.
    • Empower's empowerment will not be consumed if the attack misses.
  • Magic damage will be mitigated by magic shields.
  • Banshee's Veil item.png Spell shields will block the ability.

Additional Information:

  • Empower has no cast time and does not interrupt Jax's previous orders.
  • Empower's damage will cause Muramana item.png Muramana's bonus damage to trigger twice with one autoattack.


Counter Strike

Counter Strike

Active: Jax enters a defensive stance for up to 2 seconds, reducing physical damage from basic attacks by 100% and area of effect abilities by 25% for the duration.

At the end of the duration or if Counter Strike is activated again, Jax Stun icon stuns all nearby enemies for 1 second and deals them physical damage, increased by 20% for each attack dodged, up to a maximum 100% increase.

  • Minimum Physical Damage: 50 / 75 / 100 / 125 / 150 (+ 50% bonus AD)

Ability Details
Counter Strike is a point blank area of effect ability.

Additional Information:

  • Counter Strike has no cast time and does not interrupt Jax's previous orders.
  • Counter Strike is not a channeled ability and Jax will hence still dodge attacks and stun opponents when the buff duration ends even if he is suffering from crowd control effects.
  • Counter Strike will also dodge spells that can proc on-hit effects, including GangplankSquare.png Gangplank's Parrrley.png Parrrley, EzrealSquare.png Ezreal's Mystic Shot.png Mystic Shot and among others. These dodged abilities will count towards Counter Strike's increased damage.
  • Counter Strike cannot be reactivated for 1 second after casting.


Grandmaster's Might

Grandmaster's Might

Passive: Jax deals bonus magic damage on every third basic attack within 2.5 seconds.

  • Magic damage: 100 / 160 / 220 (+ 70% AP)

Active: Jax gains bonus armor and magic resistance for 8 seconds.

  • Bonus Armor: 30 / 50 / 70 (+ 50% bonus AD) armor
  • Bonus Magic Resistance: 30 / 50 / 70 (+ 20% AP) magic resistance
Ability Details
Grandmaster's Might is a self-buff ability that passive grants Jax an on-hit effect on all his basic attacks.
  • Applies spell effects as a single target ability.
  • The triggering attack will apply other on-hit effects and can critically strike as normal.
    • Critical strikes will not interact with Grandmaster's Might's bonus damage.
    • The bonus damage will not trigger on structures.
    • The bonus damage will trigger on Counter Strike.png dodge and Aegis Protection.png block, but the basic attack portion of damage will be dodged.
    • Under the effects of blind, both the basic attack and the bonus damage will fail, but Grandmaster's Might's passive will not be consumed (the buff will still wear off after 2.5 seconds).
  • Magic damage will be mitigated by magic shields.
  • Banshee's Veil item.png Spell shields will block the ability.

Additional Information:

  • Grandmaster's Might has no cast time and does not interrupt Jax's previous orders.
  • Despite being an on-hit effect, Grandmaster's Might's damage will trigger spell effects as a single-target spell, including spell vamp, Rylai's Crystal Scepter item.png Rylai's slow and will cause Muramana item.png Muramana's bonus damage to trigger twice with one autoattack.
  • Although the bonus damage cannot affect structures, hits against them will still stack the counter, resulting in Jax repeatedly triggering the loud sound effect after three strikes.
  • The bonus armor and magic resistance is calculated when the ability is cast. Further changes to Jax's attack damage and ability power will not cause the bonus stats to dynamically adjust.
