Martial Poise

Martial Poise: Kalista's basic attacks have special interactions:

  • Deal only 90% damage.
  • Miss if she loses Sight icon sight of her target before they hit.
  • Cannot cancel their wind-up except by selecting a new target within range.
  • Make her Dash lunge in the target direction after issuing a movement command during a wind-up or right after casting Pierce Pierce. The lunge distance scales with her boots tier.

The wind-up while dashing is only reduced by 0.66% per 1% bonus attack speed compared to the standard 1% per 1%.

Additionally, Kalista begins the game with The Black Spear item The Black Spear, a unique item.

  • The Black Spear can not be used on decoys. Targeting those will put the item on a 10 seconds cooldown.
  • The dash speed is affected by movement speed modifiers and so it will be reduced by Slow icon Slow.
  • PENDING FOR TEST: Dash range values using Pierce Pierce.

Pierce

Active: Kalista hurls a fast and narrow spear, dealing physical damage to the first enemy hit.

Physical Damage:
10 / 70 / 130 / 190 / 250 (+ 100% AD)

If Pierce kills its target, the spear continues onward, transferring all of the dead victim's Rend Rend stacks to the next enemy it hits. This can repeat indefinitely until the spear reaches its maximum distance.

  • Pierce will continue to pass through (up to maximum range) so long as it keeps killing the enemies it hits.
    • If each enemy unit killed had Rend Rend on themselves at the time of their death they will accumulate on the final target.

Oathsworn

Passive - Soul-Marked: While Kalista and her The Black Spear item Oathsworn are linked, she gains bonus attack damage. Additionally, their basic attacks apply a Soul-Mark to their targets.

Bonus Attack Damage:

Soul-Mark

If both Soul-Marks are applied within 2 seconds, the target takes bonus magic damage (capped against non-champions), and cannot be Soul-Marked for 10 seconds. Soul-Mark executes Minions Killed icon minions below 125 health.

Bonus Magic Damage:
5 / 7.5 / 10 / 12.5 / 15% of target's maximum health
Maximum Non-Champion Damage:
75 / 125 / 150 / 175 / 200

Kalista stores a charge of Sentinel periodically, up to a maximum of 2 stored at once.

Sentinel

Active: Kalista summons a Sentinel by her side to Sight icon scout the target area.

Notes
  • Soul-Marked displays a mark above the target hit by Kalista or her The Black Spear item Oathsworn ally's basic attacks.
    • This mark resembles half a spearhead and, if either attacks the target after the other has done so, the spearhead will assemble itself and Soul-Marked's bonus damage will trigger.
  • Soul-Marked's bonus damage is credited to Kalista and will benefit from both her magic penetration and her spell effects.
    • If her The Black Spear item Oathsworn ally scores a kill using Soul-Marked's bonus damage they will get a message stating 'Kill Secured' in place of the usual gold pop-up (the gold itself is credited to Kalista).
  • Possible Bug: The Sentinel's vision grants assists and/or kills (if the spotted enemy champion dies shortly after being so)

Passive: Kalista's basic attacks and Pierce Pierce each lodge a spear in her target for up to 4 seconds, stacking up to 254 times.

Active: Kalista rips all lodged spears from nearby enemies, dealing physical damage and Slow icon slowing them for 2 seconds, with spears beyond the first dealing reduced damage.

Physical Damage:
20 / 30 / 40 / 50 / 60 (+ 60% AD)
Damage per Additional Spear:
10 / 14 / 19 / 25 / 32 (+ 20 / 23.75 / 27.5 / 31.25 / 35% AD)

Slow:
25 / 30 / 35 / 40 / 45%

Rend resets its Cooldown reduction icon cooldown and refunds mana if it kills at least one target.

  • A fully-stack Rend will deal 2550 / 3572 / 4847 / 6375 / 8156 (+ 5120 / 6068.75 / 7017.5 / 7966.25 / 8915% AD) physical damage.
  • The cooldown will reset if the target dies but has a revival effect (e.g. ZileanSquare Zilean's Chronoshift Chronoshift).
  • Possible Bug: If Rend is used against a SionSquare Sion under the effects of Glory in Death Glory in Death, the cooldown will reset even if it doesn't kill the SionSquare Sion.

Fate's Call

Active: Kalista invokes her The Black Spear item link, retrieving her Oathsworn and placing them in Stasis icon stasis for 4 seconds.

Kalista's Oathsworn can emerge to a target location, stopping at the first enemy hit, Airborne icon knocking up all surrounding enemies and landing themselves at their basic attack range relative to the target hit.

  • Fate's Call will wait for the Oathsworn ally to finish their channels before holding them.
  • The Oathsworn ally is Playful untargetable and Twilight Shroud invisible so long as they remain held by Fate's Call, represented by a light over Kalista's head until they dash.
    • Kalista's death does not interrupt Fate's Call.

Patrol

The Sentinel patrols the area for 3 laps before disappearing, moving to the target location, returning to the earliest point near its cast location that it can Sight icon see, and pathing around obstacles.

Seek

The Sentinel have its Sight icon sight restricted to a cone in front of it.

Chase

Upon detecting an enemy champion, the Sentinel chases them for 4 seconds, alerting Kalista to their presence with a scream, Sight icon revealing their target for the duration, and disappearing after the chase ends.

Rush

The Sentinel initially gains 200 bonus movement speed, rapidly decaying down to its base movement speed, and is Slow icon slowed by 50% while at 1 health.
