- Mejai's Soulstealer, Sword of the Occult, and the removed Leviathan were a trio of "Snowball Sister Items" that shared a stack feature based on champion kills/assists.
- At 20 stacks Mejai's Soulstealer provides more AP than any item except Archangel's Staff and Seraph's Embrace (if the wearer has 4000 mana or more).
- Rabadon's Deathcap and a fully-stacked Mejai's Soulstealer grant a total of 390 AP ( = (120 + 180) × 1.3).
- The stacking buff granted by Mejai's Soulstealer when a kill or assist is scored is called "Soul Engorgement."
- Mejai's Soulstealer, along with Boots of Lucidity are the only items to provide 15% cooldown reduction. All other items grant 10% or 20%
