As much as I, and hopefully others, love your contribution, I'm sending this message to warn in how often you have posted these contents. The following may not be included in the wiki policies, but it has been part of the community etiquette, which is why I am sending a message and not abusing my power to send a love letter of reprimanding nature.
Currently, you have three blogs on the front page. Yes, three blogs. The issue found in this comes from two foundations: the consecutive posting of these ideas from a single user in the span of a few days, along with the nature of these blogs being rather similar if not the same, spurring the idea of "why make separate blogs?" I bring this to your attention since, currently on a personal level, while these blogs contribute to the community by asking vital questions, the way they are released do not feel appropriate (for the lack of better words).
The reason I find this inappropriate is because, in corollary to the two claims above, you release repetitive content blogs that surround the same idea: vision. Was there a need to have them in separate blogs? As per your words, "[One] post is simply suggesting a change made to the functionality [...] My other post is regarding changing Sightstone as an item, not its functionality, and bringing back the Vision Trinket [...]" However, even if these idea question separate ideas of vision, was it necessary to have them in separate blogs when the content of the original two blogs could be melded into one large one for a potential larger blog that can be used for more discussion? I do not believe so.
While this may not be critical on the not-as-much-activity normal blogs, covering 3 of 7 spaces on the front page is still a lot, with the now bumped out blog being one of yours only released a few weeks ago. I do question, why did you not conserve space and release the now third topic as a continuum with the other two in one larger blog?
There is for now none that I cannot do in regards to taking your blogs down or conjoining them together, as that is an abuse of my powers as a mod, along with being a force of my opinion upon your works. But I do ask you to think more of how the release of these blogs may reflect your character. Are these blogs showing your sporadic nature of curiosity, or are they simply questions masked under a simple ploy of making them justifiable by abiding by what I perceive as partially outdated policies?
Apologies if this message is rough, but instead of remaining silent or taking action, I prefer to speak words. I await your answer.
First, I would like to apologize for this issue being occurring to you and I would like to explain myself. My first 2 blogs were intended to be 2 separate topics and I felt that putting them together would confuse the readers, with my 3rd blog being a follow up from the first 2. You told me I am able to put my blogs together into one and I would definitely do that, however I do not know how to. Maybe you could tell me how I can do so? In regards to your policies, I had no intention to abuse them. I merely wanted to give my opinion on the game's current state and, hopefully, being able to shape the game into a more likeable state.
I hope you are not too upset on the current situation and I hope we can resolve quickly.
Merging of pages can be simply done by adding content from another blog into the other. As for what is now empty blogs, you can request an admin to delete them for you.
In the end, I will say that there was a bit of short-sighted in assuming that blending the two would cause confusion. If you ever felt like that would occur, I would recommend that you head the blog with a general title with a subtitle of the two subjects, such as "Champion abilities - Passives & Innates." As I mentioned, the two, now three, blogs you had posted could have been merged under the Vision topic, and I believe no one would find it confusing. If there is confusion, someone will hopefully ask for clarification; if they assume wrong, you can correct them.
Not to take your past into the present argument, but based on your blogs and how you had been warned once before, it may be that your take of blogs is not the same as what they should be. You ask a question, give your opinion and wait... that is for sure adequate in getting a topic started, but a blog should be informative. If you had done research, there should be a listing for that on the blog to show you are not just another topic starter, but someone who wants more than that. The irony is that your first blog falls into this "hole" by stating that it's for discussion, which blogs can be used for, but should be more than that; we have a discussion section. You could have supplied a similar, if not as much detailed, discussion starters in the discussion section. Something like Nhan's State of Illaoi? That there is content that is large enough in that it shouldn't be in the discussion section.
The policies are up in the air due to how they are semi-outdated, as mentioned. However, I will admit it's also because there is a lack of newcomers, and old users, not having direct access to them. They have to type in the search "policies" to get to them, now have it available in the header.
As I mentioned, this is just a message as both a mod and a fellow LOL wikian. I will admit that I'm here to reprimand for what you had accidentally caused, but instead of letting these become trivial, I felt it was best to take action by words (and not exaggerate it with a ban, which is highly unnecessary here). Thank you for taking your time, be careful and have a nice day.
