Greetings, visitor. This is Teh's Talk page, which functions the same way as editing other wiki pages with wiki text, because I hate Message Walls.

Feel free to leave me a message at the bottom of this page (or use this to make a new section), and please remember to sign them with ~~~~.

Apparently my entire paragraph I just wrote on your wall was reset, but in that case.....[]

something needs to be done about subjective things on the wiki such as things not endorsed by Rito, or FotM things, even though they are a part of the game and should be acknowledged. User:Aleccat

I'm unclear as to what you mean. What are you defining as "subjective things"? What are "Rito" and "FotM"? Are you saying that XYZ content should, or should not be on pages? — kek TehAnonymous <3 19:26, March 7, 2016 (UTC)

Need some help[]

Hi, I'm a sysop in Vietnamese LoL wikia , I need your help about Template:Pp|Passive progression template. I has copied it from your wiki but when I used it in my wiki, it didn't display the table like this image when I moved cursor onto. How could I fix it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Niad96 (talkcontribs)

Niad96 Question-0
The <span class="passive-progression" bit in {{passive progression}} references MediaWiki:Common.js, specifically the section
/* Custom Tooltips for use with the Tooltips/code.js */
var tooltips_list = [

[...]

{
        classname: 'passive-progression',
        parse: '{'+'{Tooltip/Progression|<#size#>|<#values#>|<#levels#>|type=<#type#>|formula=<#formula#>}}',
    }

with Tooltips.js being loaded from elsewhere earlier by

importArticles({
 type:'script',
 articles:[

[...]

  'u:dev:Tooltips.js'
 ]
});

kek TehAnonymous <3 16:58, March 22, 2016 (UTC)

I've copied those parts but it still not working. I'm not good at JS and CSS, too. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Niad96 (talkcontribs)
Looking at http://vi.leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/MediaWiki:Common.js, it says on the side "Latest revision: #2786 needs to be submitted" The js needs to submitted and approved by Wikia before it goes into effect. — kek TehAnonymous <3 18:17, March 25, 2016 (UTC)

Nazareadain[]

I've no idea if I've understood how to even use the talk page here, but I'm trying to find out how to protect a page from being edited by anyone other than me, so I won't risk losing work if I start linking it. I don't even know if I've come to the right place, but I'm sure you'll let me know if I haven't.

~~~~ —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nazareadain (talkcontribs)
This a user talk page, where you create new sections by "== section title ==", then add a message below, signing with "~~~~", which is not the same as "<nowiki>~~~~"</nowiki>. You can create pages in your personal userspace and user blog space, where other users generally do not see, and by common wiki etiquette leave alone. — Rouge admin TehAnonymous <3 01:54, April 12, 2016 (UTC)
Teeeeh[]
Hey teh, Am I allowed to clean up my message wall ? it's looking stupid atm with half a dozen messages from alex's socks whining on my wall. May I delete these threads ?
Yours Sincerely, Bloodstrider~ (Talk~ ) 09:29, April 28, 2016 (UTC)
Try closing the threads that have been completed / are no longer relevant. Rationale for holding back on removal: though still visible from Message Wall history, there's no good way from the main interface to view old threads that have been removed (possibly closed as well). Valid targets for removal would probably be spam, >3 month old no-longer-topical discussions, personal business, etc. — kek TehAnonymous <3 11:37, April 28, 2016 (UTC)
Alright, I'll take care of the spam / Old stuff then. I highly even doubt there's any reason to ever view these walls again either since all the ones I intend to remove were just ones were an alexpuppet was banned and he decided to cry about it on my wall ( Even when I wasn't the banner for some ) Yours Sincerely, Bloodstrider~ (Talk~ ) 12:39, April 28, 2016 (UTC)
List of items' stats[]
Hey, I'm the creator of the page List of items' stats that Tyranitar12 deleted yesteday. He told me:
  • "it was marked for deletion by TehAnonymous i believe, you can try asking him "
Is this true ? If so, could I have a reason why you did this ? And in any case, I would like to be able to get my code back, I took me a couple of hours to make it, and I can't find a way to get it back: the page's history was also deleted, so I can't even check there. --Tylobic (talk) 07:25, May 18, 2016 (UTC)
I'll warn User:Tyranitar12 about that. The page in its current form doesn't seem to have a great purpose. It doesn't do anything amazing, and more relevantly doesn't automatically update - try some templates that auto-pull the relevant stats. — kek TehAnonymous <3 13:11, May 18, 2016 (UTC)
Thanks for restoring the page, even if it's not for long, here's why: I honestly think I don't have the knowledge and the resources to, first, use/create templates to automatically update the differents stats, and second, to make the page actually truely useful. As I'm talking, I'm simply going to create a blog post and copy the content of the page in it. --Tylobic (talk) 19:02, May 18, 2016 (UTC)
Poor Moderation of Comments[]
Hi, this has been an issue that's been grating on my nerves for a long time now, so as a prelude, if anything I say is taken to be rude or offensive, please note that's not the intention, I'm just extremely fed up at this point. The reason? The comments for champion pages keep getting spammed with hateful, ignorant, or inflammatory comments, yet it seems like nothing is really being done to monitor such trolls. The most recent, and in my opinion strongest, example is the user Awkward Moments, who has been trolling for an extremely long time now with no repercussions. I already attempted to reach out to the administrator Demise101, however, he seems to be busy with other things(As in he hasn't even been on the Wiki), which I understand, no worries, but it caused my frustration to grow even more, so this is my attempt at not only getting an awful "contributer" banned, but also hopefully bringing this problem to attention. Nearly 120 toxic posts is way too many to be able to get away with.
A huge issue seems to be that the actual comments themselves lack any clear moderation, it's a problem I'm almost scared to ask to be fixed, because the entire comment section could be ruined by a block happy moderator, however I believe that it would be a step in the right direction to at least begin trying to find people with whatever qualities you're looking for, because the pure amount that one person can get away with is simply infuriating.
I've really come to love the discussion that happens on those champion pages, and I fear that the wrong people having power would could result in a fundamental change in how it currently works, but there just needs to be some people that can stop such obvious trolls and toxic contributers. Giving warning if someone is out of line would be nice too, but I digress, because my main concern is just how difficult it is to actually get something done when it comes to trolls.
Thank you for reading this, and I'm sorry that this has become such a problem I've taken to admin hunting, but I feel my hands are tied, and I'm sick of this person getting away with wishing death and cancer upon others. ----KuraiAssassin
Contacting admins: Special:Chat, this page/other people's message walls, League_of_Legends_Wiki:Administrator_noticeboard all serve the purpose. Those are ordered roughly by the most rapid response.
User:Awkward_Moments: comments nuked, user blocked
"A huge issue seems to be that the actual comments themselves lack any clear moderation": If you're interested, you could apply for a Thread Moderator position. Yes, it is sad that the comments are relatively unmoderated, but let me describe how a moderator goes about watching comments:
  • Open Special:RecentChanges
  • Filter to Talk, select "Hide grouped recent changes" option
  • Review hundreds of comments in the last week
It's not the most rewarding or valuable use of time, which is why we rely on users like you to report comments & other users. — kek TehAnonymous <3 15:47, June 15, 2016 (UTC)
First of all, thank you for getting rid of that user, it was something that really needed to be done, but no one seemed to know how they should go about it. To that end, may I suggest putting a link to the administrator noticeboard in the same place where the comment's rules and regulations is? I was unaware that it even existed, and if that's how we're supposed to report things I feel it should be there.
That current method does seem horribly inefficient, perhaps it would help to just use keyword search for faster moderation, to let you spot the most severe abuse cases, the other alternative is getting people that already frequent the comments often enough that the amount isn't really an issue. In my experience, most users are positive contributors, and it's always just one person consistently being toxic, so a regular user will very quickly notice the trend.
Lastly, I feel obligated to ask since I've taken such a problem with the way things currently are, how would you apply to be a thread moderator, and what would be expected? I don't really have interest in changing the way the comments currently run, I believe they're fine sans the few trolls and the times when someone gets frustrated and says things that are of of line, so if I was expected to ban the obvious trolls and give warnings when things get out of line, I would be fine with the position, but if there's more to it, I would like to know. P.S. The formatting seems to be getting messed up on the actual page, sorry it's so smushed but I can't seem to fix it.
That's all, thank you for your time, and for the satisfaction of seeing all those troll posts removed. ----KuraiAssassin
User Hdvnld being counter productive[]
Hello, I'm having some issues with user Hdvnld, he keeps undoing edits that I'm doing on the Warmog's Armor's Warmog's Armor's page. It started here, he clearly does not know what he's doing and why he's doing it, he must not know how templates work. I want to avoid a stupid war of "undo over undo". Can you do something about it ? Thanks for taking time reading this. Tylobic (talk) 22:41, June 30, 2016 (UTC)
You should always try to resolve any edit wars on the page talk page or the user talk page. Assume good faith, etc. Thread:1287823kek TehAnonymous <3 04:41, July 1, 2016 (UTC)
User GreenMoriyama: Blogs[]
To be quick and short, I find it that some recent blogs have been minimal in contributing to the community or do not follow the basic guidelines for an appropriate blog. These mostly consists of champion reworks (Such as the empty Kassadin blog and not so reworked Evelynn blog) and custom champions (mostly the couple of not so intuitive attempts at integrating characters from other universes into LOL, here and here). I just wondered if someone is keeping watch that the blog section does not contain such blogs for too long.
Thank you and have a good rest of the week. User:GreenMoriyama/sig
Sometimes the blogs are well monitored. — kek TehAnonymous <3 00:15, July 12, 2016 (UTC)
Yes, they are. I just wished to let you know that some of these blogs have been floating around without being taken care of. It felt most appropriate to directly let someone like yourself know than reporting them on a forums/report page. Thank you for your response nonetheless.
EDIT: I may be standing out of line, but may I ask for user rights that may allow me to remove given blogs when they do not follow the guidelines? I admit that I view the custom blog section much too often, but I feel I've monitored it more often than "sometimes." If I should be asking someone else in regards to this issue I'm having with "unnecessary champion blogs," then please redirect me to them. Green Moriyama
We have this: League of Legends Wiki:Requests for Permissions -- Ninjamask (talk) 05:08, July 22, 2016 (UTC)
Since this thread technically connects into what I wish to ask, I will use this thread instead of creating a new one, if you do not mind. I had posted a short while ago my request for moderator rights, but no one has responded thus far. I presume that users are not restricted to creating their own "request for permissions" as long as they fulfill the designated criteria, but if I am wrong, please inform me. Thank you. Small Change in Category Pagination[]
Hey Anon. You're going to see a tiny change in category behavior next week and I wanted to let you know about it.
We're trying to modernize the way Wikia categories display - Page 1, Page 2, Page 3 instead of Previous 500 and Next 500. For reasons I won't get into right now (but can if you want me to), this change means that Articles and Blogs are going to end up in the same category.
Let me know if there are thoughts, and thanks for reading. Ducksoup (talk) 18:39, August 5, 2016 (UTC)
Wiki Modernization & Videos in this community[]
Hey TehAnonymous, a few weeks ago we talked together about the wiki Modernization process and that we would like to test several featured videos in this wiki. Could you take a look at the message I left on your message wall in the council wiki? This is fast moving project so I would ask you to send me an answer in two days. If I don't hear back from you I we will try to embed the proposed videos. Thanks a lot and reach out to me every time you have a question! Springteufel (talk) 10:09, March 20, 2017 (UTC)
Start of Page Header Test[]
Hey TehAnonymous!
The next stage of our Wiki Modernization project is to test the page and article headers, which you can read about here. We'll begin running this test on Thursday this week.
Like we said in the blog, here's what we'll be looking at in the test:
How do readers interact with the new headers? We'll look at the number of clicks on header links, as well as how many people use the new headers vs the old ones. What do editors think of the new design? We'll gather feedback and interaction data from you, ask follow-up questions, and do our best to understand your needs. We want a design that works well for everyone.
We want help from you and your community in figuring out if we got it right or what potential areas for improvement might be. Feel free to comment on both the reader and editor side of the header designs. We especially want to know what you think as an editor. Please leave any feedback for me here on this thread
You are also welcome to share this information with your community, that way they are aware of the changes that have been made. Springteufel (talk) 19:51, March 20, 2017 (UTC)
Discord: Adding a Custom Content Channel[]
Copy-pasta-ing what I had written on discord, but in the end, a question in regards to creating a channel in the lol discord specifically for discussing custom contents.
Is it possible to make a channel for custom champions/items/etc? Been trying to make a separate discord channel overall, but realized that it would make just as much as a rift as the suggestion wiki does
Volunteer Curators[]
Hi TehAnonymous
I'm contacting you as you are the most recently active admin.
I just posted a blog post about Volunteer Curators here on League of Legends Wiki and I'm wondering if it'd be ok with you and the rest of the admin team if I posted a community message about it (like a site-wide message, but just for this wiki). We're hoping to attract Esports news fanatics to help round out our Esports coverage on Fandom.com .
May I ask for your help, about audio button[]
I am an editor in Overwatch wiki, and I recently encoutered a problem. The thing is the OGG default player cannot be played in tabview, you can see the problem here.
Secondly, when I check LoL wikia, I see you use a kind of ogg play button, which looks really neat and most importantly, it can be played in tabview (like Quote page/tab of every hero). It is under the <span class="audio-button"> tag.
Could you help me learning how to apply it into Overwatch page? Thank you a lot for your consideration. - Theodorearthurroberts (talk) 06:13, September 28, 2017 (UTC)
Experience (summoner)[]
Hey Teh. Nice to meet you.
Thanks for your review on my insertion about the required time to level up. I was struggling. Also the connotation of "verifying" something in my language is to "check out" something, so the info looks notably clearer now.
Oh and also thank you for the automated welcome. It was... okay, in a robot way.
You can sign using four tildes (~~~~) and customize your signature in Special:Preferences.
Definition of verify pulled from Google:
verb, to make sure or demonstrate that (something) is true, accurate, or justified.
Verify has a heavy association with truth - the ver- bit comes from the Latin word for truth verus. — kek TehAnonymous <3 16:19, November 27, 2017 (UTC)
May I know how did you or any user here generate this template, with the pop up boxes and stuff? I really like the design and I wish to add them into another wiki which I am an administrator of. I know there's the documentation and all but I am still not that sure how to create it, especially since it is generated using CSS, which is something I am very unfamiliar to.
Looking forward to a quick and positive reply from you soon. Thanks in advance.😁
Request from banned user[]
Username removed after a request was filed. Correspondence remains for historical purposes. — kek TehAnonymous <3 02:33, 5 January 2022 (UTC)
Hi TehAnonymous. This is a bit unusual, but I'm writing on behalf of a banned user, (deleteduser).
He was banned for being a ban evading sockpuppet, apparently of (deleteduser). However the original account wasn't blocked at that time, so he was not evading a ban. He had disabled his original account in May, and named the new account in such a way as to show it was the same person. I would say that was not malicious socking, as there was no intent to deceive and no current block to evade.
However, there may be more to this story than I know, so apologies if I missed something.
(deleteduser) is requesting that he be allowed back to the wiki. I am not asking you to do this, just relaying his request. The decision to block/unblock is entirely yours of course. Thanks for reading -- Sannse (help forum | blog) 19:28, November 21, 2018 (UTC)
Hey, TehAnonymous. Sorry to bother you but a user on this site reported abuse of authority on the VSTF page and I'm just checking to see if there's any weight to it. The reporter's name is (deleteduser) and I see you've had problems with them in the past. If you, or another admin preferably due to the claim of abusing authority, could just confirm that they were banned for sockpuppeting or other just reasons, I'll mark the report as checked.
Thanks for your time!
Rantatbook3om (talk) 20:01, December 5, 2018 (UTC)
The user known as (deleteduser) declared their resignation from the wiki in Discord sometime last year:
[12:29 AM] (deleteduser): I didn't know neutral and oppose were synonyms, subhuman piece of shit.
[12:30 AM] (deleteduser): That's alright. Not worth it to try and clean a shithole.
[12:30 AM] (deleteduser): Especially one ruled by a decadent dick-tator.
[12:30 AM] (deleteduser): That's it, fuckers. I'm officially retiring.
[12:31 AM] (deleteduser): Rejoice: you won't have to put up with Big Brother (deleteduser) policing you anymore.
[12:31 AM] (deleteduser): In the end, it is not I who loses shit.
As a result of this intolerable behavior and announcement of resignation, they were blocked from the wiki. A couple months ago, a user by the name of (deleteduser) began performing similar editing actions to the aforementioned (deleteduser) on the wiki. When this was detected, the account was blocked for sockpuppetry. — kek TehAnonymous <3 20:08, December 5, 2018 (UTC)
