Strategy

• Generally, this item is overlooked in favor of Lord Dominik's Regards, since the latter provide more damage against tanky champions which stack armor, thanks to the increased physical damage due to health difference. However, many tanky champions are still sustain reliant, such as Volibear and Dr. Mundo. Mortal Reminder may be a better general purchase against those champions, since it applies Grievous Wounds during teamfights, allowing your entire team to combat them.
  • It is important to note that Lord Dominik's Regards has very little use against squishy champions, while Mortal Reminder is still useful against squishy champions if they rely on sustain to survive. This includes ADCs with lifesteal, and champions like Akali. Keep in mind how much the enemy team rely on sustain before deciding which Last Whisper upgrade is the better one.
