  • Pantheon was named after Πάνθεον (the word used to refer to the Twelve Olympians from Ancient Greek religion).
    • His host body's name comes from pre-Greek Ἀτρεύς, analyzed by folk-etymology as "untrembling"; based on the name of an Achaean warlord known to the Hittites as Attarsiya.
    • Atreus' friend's name Πύλας Pylas also derives from the pre-Greek architectural term πῠ́λη pylē "gate", from which we have "pylon".

  • "They will not enjoy this", "Getting kicked into a well is the least of your worries!", and "My profession?! You know, now that I think of it, I've always wanted to be a baker" reference 300.

  • The Pantheon is the Targonian Celestial Aspect of War, a being who (unlike the Leona Sun, Diana Moon, and Taric Protector Aspects) completely possesses his host (the current one is a Rakkoran warrior named Atreus, who was chosen for his determination and single-mindedness in the pursuit of battle) of which he has several (one for each planet Targon has claimed, Atreus being Runeterra's, their homeworld)
    • Before becoming the Pantheon's avatar, Atreus had accused Leona Leona of not fulfilling her duty of slaying any creature that came down the mountain (in her case, the Sun Aspect himself) for which they met in combat (they fought to a standstill, with Leona Leona being taken in by the Locket of the Iron Solari item.png Solari and Atreus training and defending his tribe until he decided to climb Mount Targon since the Locket of the Iron Solari item.png Solari were unwilling to pursue the enemies of the Rakkor)
