Arcane Mastery is a self-targeted buff.

Additional Information:

  • Define raw AP as the ability power without counting Seraph's Embrace item.png Seraph's Embrace's passive and ability power multipliers (e.g. Rabadon's Deathcap item.png Rabadon's Deathcap's passive or Dragon Slayer.png Dragon Slayer: Infernal Tribute). Denote it as a.
  • Denote the total ability power multiplier as x.
  • Define raw mana as the mana without counting Arcane Mastery. Denote it as b.
  • Without Seraph's Embrace item.png Seraph's Embrace, Resultant AP = ax, resultant mana = b + 0.0005abx
  • For example, if Ryze has 200 raw AP, 3000 raw mana, Rabadon's Deathcap item.png Rabadon's Deathcap's passive and one stack of Infernal Tribute,
    • Ability power multiplier = 1 + 0.35 + 0.08 = 1.43,
    • Resultant AP = 200 × 1.43 = 286,
    • Resultant mana = 3000 + 0.0005 × 200 × 3000 × 1.43 = 3429
  • With Seraph's Embrace item.png Seraph's Embrace, the resultant AP and resultant mana can be calculated as follows:
  • Define two sequences A = {an} and B = {bn}, where n = 0, 1, 2, ...
  • a0 = ax, b0 = b
  • For n ≥ 1, an = 0.03bn-1x, bn = 0.0005an-1b
  • The resultant AP is the sum of all terms in A, while the resultant mana is the sum of all terms in B.
  • This gives the formula
Resultant AP = (ax + 0.03bx) / (1 - 0.000015bx),
Resultant mana = (b + 0.0005abx) / (1 - 0.000015bx)
  • For example, if Ryze has 200 raw AP, 3000 raw mana, Rabadon's Deathcap item.png Rabadon's Deathcap's passive and one stack of Infernal Tribute,
    • Ability power multiplier = 1 + 0.35 + 0.08 = 1.43,
    • Denominator = 1 - 0.000015 × 3000 × 1.43 = 0.93565
    • Resultant AP = (200 × 1.43 + 0.03 × 3000 × 1.43) / 0.93565 = 443.22,
    • Resultant mana = (3000 + 0.0005 × 200 × 3000 × 1.43) / 0.93565 = 3664.83

Overload

Passive: Ryze's other basic abilities reset Overload's cooldown and charge a Overload 3.png Rune for 4 seconds (up to 2).

Active: Ryze unleashes a runic blast in the target direction, dealing magic damage to the first enemy struck and consuming all of his Overload 2.png Runes.

60 / 85 / 110 / 135 / 160 / 185 (+ 45% AP) (+ 3% bonus mana)

If Ryze consumes 2 Overload 4.png Runes, he shields himself for 65 - 150 (based on level) (+ 60% AP) (+ 3% bonus mana) damage for 2 seconds and gains bonus movement speed for the duration.

Spell Flux

Active: Ryze hurls an orb of runic energy at the target enemy, dealing magic damage and marking them with Flux for 3 seconds, causing his next basic ability against them to consume the mark and gain bonus effects.

Magic Damage:
50 / 75 / 100 / 125 / 150 (+ 30% AP) (+ 2% bonus mana)

Spell Flux.png Flux: Spell Flux spreads to all nearby enemies, applying its damage and marking them with Flux.

Enemies killed by any of Ryze's abilities while marked with Flux also spread Flux to nearby enemies.

Ability Details
Spell Flux is a single-targeted ability which becomes multitargeted when empowered.

Additional Information:

Spell Flux's second cast on a target will apply a new Flux debuff as well as triggering the previous one (effectively refreshing the duration)


Realm Warp
TARGET RANGE: 1750 / 3000

Realm Warp

Active: Ryze opens a portal on the ground beneath him and begins channeling. If Ryze successfully channels for 2 seconds, all allied units within the portal blink to the target location and very briefly become Playful untargetable. Realm Warp can affect untargetable allies.

Ryze can move around and cast spells during this channel, which can be interrupted by both Silence icon silencing and Root icon immobilizing effects.

Realm Warp can only be ranked up twice, with ranks available at levels 6 and 11. Instead, Overload.png Overload has 6 ranks.

Notes
  • Playful untargetable lasts approximately 0.75 seconds.
  • Teleported units retain the same relative positions to one another upon arrival.
  • Ryze will not teleport if he exits the area, but the teleport will still occur for other allies so long as Ryze isn't interrupted.
  • Grounded icon Ground will both prevent Ryze from activating Realm Warp, as well as prevent units from being teleported, but will not interrupt the channel.
  • Grounded icon Knockdown will not, by itself, interrupt the channeling. However, all means of applying knockdown (e.g. Event Horizon.png Event Horizon), as well as Airborne icon airborne effects, will interrupt the channel.
    • PENDING FOR TEST Immobilized allies will not be teleported.
  • Non-hostile Stasis icon Stasis effects will not interrupt Realm Warp's channel - including Zhonya's Hourglass item.png Zhonya's Hourglass, the passive of Guardian Angel item.png Guardian Angel or an allied Bard Bard's Tempered Fate.png Tempered Fate. Other allies untargetable by similar effects will still be teleported, too.
  • Possible Bug: Realm Warp cannot teleport a single minion, and will always leave behind a single minion should he attempt to teleport more than one.
  • Realm Warp's interaction with channelled abilities seems to be case-by-case:
    • The following channels will prevent the caster from being teleported: Teleport.png Teleport, Recall.png Recall and Ace in the Hole.png Ace in the Hole. They will not, however, interrupt the channel (e.g. if Ryze uses Teleport).
    • The following channels do not prevent you getting teleported and are not interrupted: Crowstorm.png Crowstorm*, Requiem.png Requiem and Absolute Zero.png Absolute Zero.
    • These lists are not complete.
  • Ryze can teleport Zac Zac during his Cell Division.png Cell Divisionperror, moving both his blobbies as well as the point where they are attempting to converge.
