Glory in Death

Upon taking fatal damage, Sion briefly becomes invulnerable then enters a frenzy, restoring himself to full health but losing「 1 (+ Sion's level) 」「 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 / 9 / 10 / 11 / 12 / 13 / 14 / 15 / 16 / 17 / 18 / 19 」health per 0.25 seconds, increasing by「 0.7 (+ 0.7 x Sion's level) 」「 1.4 / 2.1 / 2.8 / 3.5 / 4.2 / 4.9 / 5.6 / 6.3 / 7 / 7.7 / 8.4 / 9.1 / 9.8 / 10.5 / 11.2 / 11.9 / 12.6 / 13.3 」per subsequent tick.

Sion can freely move and attack during this time, gaining 100% life steal, attacking at 1.75 attack speed and dealing 10% of his target's maximum health as on-hit physical damage (capped at 75 bonus damage against minions and monsters).

Sion cannot cast any of his standard abilities while in this state but can cast Death Surge.png Death Surge using any learned spell.

Active: Sion gains 50% bonus movement speed that decays over 1.5 seconds.

Ability Details
Glory in Death is a on-death ability, which grants both a statistic self-targeted buff and a physical on-hit effect.
Death Surge is a self-buff ability.

Additional Information:

  • While in the Glory in Death state, Sion can move, attack and use item actives, but cannot use summoner spells or his normal champion abilities.
  • Sion's attack speed during Glory in Death is fixed at 1.75; it can not be slowed nor hastened while the reanimation stands.
  • Sion's death timer will begin to tick down when he is first killed, not when Glory in Death's reanimation expires.
  • The cooldown of Death Surge is refreshed upon triggering Glory in Death, meaning it is always available to cast each time Sion dies.
  • Glory in Death will still trigger if Sion is killed by the Nexus Obelisk.
  • Glory in Death occupies a low priority for effects that trigger upon death: it will always trigger after effects such as Guardian Angel item.png Guardian Angel's or YorickSquare.png Yorick's Omen of Death.png Omen of Death.
    • However, MordekaiserSquare.png Mordekaiser's Children of the Grave.png Children of the Grave will not take control of Sion until after the reanimation has expired, meaning that if the reanimation lasts long enough, Children of the Grave will fail to produce a ghost of Sion.
  • The ticks Sion will stay in his frenzy are roughly given by the formula T = [3.7195 + 2.8571 * M / (L+1)]^0.5 - 1.9286. Where M is his maximum health and L his level.
  • If Sion gains a buff (such as Crest of Cinders.png Crest of Cinders) during Glory in Death's reanimation, he will not lose that buff when the reanimation expires.


Decimating Smash
RANGE: 300 ~ 600

Decimating Smash

First Cast: Sion channels for up to 2 seconds, increasing the damage of Decimating Smash over the duration and the range over the next 1 second. If the channel is interrupted, Decimating Smash will go on a reduced 2 second cooldown.

Second Cast: Sion deals physical damage to all enemies in the target area. Minions and monsters take 80% damage from Decimating Smash. If he has charged for less than 1 second, he will Slow icon slow all enemies in the area by 50% for 0.25 seconds.

  • Minimum Physical Damage: 20 / 40 / 60 / 80 / 100 (+ 65% AD)
  • Maximum Physical Damage: 60 / 120 / 180 / 240 / 300 (+ 195% AD)

If Decimating Smash is charged for at least 1 second, he will Airborne icon knock up all enemies hit for 1.25 seconds, up to 2.25 if Decimating Smash is fully channeled.

Ability Details
Decimating Smash is a channeled area of effect, that increases its effects depending on how long is charged.

Additional Information:

  • Decimating Smash will not grant sight of Sion to an enemy standing outside a brush he is in, similar to NunuSquare.png Nunu's Absolute Zero.png Absolute Zero.


Soul Furnace
COST: 65 / 70 / 75 / 80 / 85 mana
COOLDOWN: 13 seconds after shield expires
Soul Furnace

Passive: Sion permanently gains 2 bonus health whenever he kills a unit, increased to 10 bonus health against large units or champion kills and assists.

Active: Sion surrounds himself with a shield that absorbs damage for up to 6 seconds. After 3 seconds, Soul Furnace can be reactivated to detonate the shield, detonating automatically if it persists for the full 6 seconds.

  • Shield Strength: 30 / 55 / 80 / 105 / 130 (+ 40% AP) (+ 6 / 7 / 8 / 9 / 10% of maximum health)

Upon detonation, the shield deals magic damage to all enemy units within 550-range. The percentual health damage component is capped at 400 against minions and monsters.

  • Magic Damage: 40 / 65 / 90 / 115 / 140 (+ 40% AP) (+ 10 / 11 / 12 / 13 / 14% of target's maximum health)
Ability Details
Soul Furnace's Passive is a self-buff.

Soul Furnace's Active is both a self-targeted and area of effect ability.

Additional Information:

  • Both the initial cast and shield detonation have no cast time and do not interrupt Sion's previous orders.
  • Soul Furnace can be activated and detonated while using any of his abilities.
  • The health bonus can be triggered by killing an enemy unit with any of Sion's damage sources, including autoattacks, champion abilities, summoner spells and item actives.


Roar of the Slayer

Roar of the Slayer

Active: Sion bellows in the target direction, dealing magic damage to the first enemy he hits, as well as Slow icon slowing it and reducing its armor by 20% for 2.5 seconds.

  • Magic Damage: 70 / 105 / 140 / 175 / 210 (+ 40% AP)
  • Slow: 40 / 45 / 50 / 55 / 60%

If the target is not a champion, it will be Airborne icon knocked back 1500 units, dealing 30% increased damage to all enemies it passes through and Slow icon slowing them by the same amount for 2.5 seconds.

  • Increased Damage: 91 / 136.5 / 182 / 227.5 / 273 (+ 52% AP)
Ability Details
Roar of the Slayer is primarily a linear, colliding skillshot, but if the first unit struck is not a champion, it becomes an area of effect ability.

Additional Information:

  • Minions and monsters cannot be pushed through walls, even when the knockback would ordinarily leave them within passable terrain.


Unstoppable Onslaught
COST: 100 mana
COOLDOWN: 140 / 100 / 60
Unstoppable Onslaught

First Cast: Sion charges in a target direction for up to 8 seconds, during which time he cannot cast abilities nor attack, but is immune to all crowd control effects. Sion's trajectory will update toward the cursor over the duration, but his turn rate is decreased.

If Sion collides with an enemy champion or terrain, charges for the full 8 seconds, or re-activates the ability, he will slam the ground with tremendous force, dealing physical damage and Slow icon slowing surrounding enemies for 3 seconds. This includes structures. Enemies hit directly are also slightly Airborne icon pulled into Sion's direction, and then Stun icon stunned for 0.75 seconds.

  • Minimum Physical Damage: 150 / 300 / 450 (+ 40% bonus AD)
  • Maximum Physical Damage: 300 / 600 / 900 (+ 80% bonus AD)
  • Slow: 40 / 45 / 50%

Colliding with terrain will cause Sion to be Stun icon stunned for a short duration. The damage and stun duration increase over the first few seconds of the charge, capping at 200% damage and 1.75 seconds, respectively.

Ability Details
Unstoppable Onslaught is an area of effect ability.

Additional Information:

  • Sion's bellows can be heard by all players globally.
  • Turn Rate is a term carried on from DotA. This represents a ratio that is granted to calculate the time required to turn into a commanded direction. Turn Rate is traditionaly measured on the time required to turn 180º and expressed in radians per 0.03 seconds, thus takes π (~3.14) radians to take a 180º turn.
    • The Turn Rate's equation is (0.03 × π) / T = t. Where T is the Turn Rate and t the time required to turn.
      • In the hypothetical case of modifying a unit's time to turn, the modifier will be directly multiplied to the base Turn Rate.
      • The Champion's time to turn is instant, despite this is not to imply zero, rather be that none possess a Turn Rate. Unstoppable Onslaught just grant such to Sion over the ability's duration.
  • Unstoppable Onslaught's pull effect is considered a knockup for the purpose of Last Breath.png Last Breath.
  • Unstoppable Onslaught takes into account impassable player-created terrain such as JarvanIVSquare.png Jarvan IV's Cataclysm.png Cataclysm AniviaSquare.png Anivia's Crystallize.png Crystallize, AzirSquare.png Azir's Emperor's Divide.png Emperor's Divide and TrundleSquare.png Trundle's Pillar of Ice.png Pillar of Ice.
  • Unstoppable Onslaught can damage enemy structures.
  • While Unstoppable Onslaught is active, Sion's movement speed is hard capped at 950. As a consequence of this, building movement speed items will only cause him to gain ground over the initial acceleration and does not grant a significant increase in total distance travelled.
    • If Sion has a movement speed over 950 when he casts Unstoppable Onslaught, he will actually suffer a decreased movement speed.
