Glory in Death
Glory in Death

Upon taking fatal damage, Sion briefly becomes untargetable and enters a frenzy, restoring himself to 100% of his maximum health but losing 2 - 19 (based on level) health every 0.25 seconds, increasing by 1.4 - 13.3 (based on level) per subsequent tick.

Sion can freely move and use basic attacks during this time, gaining 100% life steal, attacking at 1.75 attack speed and dealing 10% of his target's maximum health as bonus on-hit damage, capped at 75 against minions and monsters.

Sion cannot cast any of his standard abilities while in this state but can cast Death Surge.png Death Surge using any learned ability.

Death Surge
Death Surge

Active: Sion gains 50% bonus movement speed that decays over 1.5 seconds.

Ability Details
Glory in Death is a on-death ability, which grants both a statistic self-targeted buff and a physical on-hit effect.

Death Surge is a self-buff ability.

Additional Information:

  • While in the Glory in Death state, Sion can move, attack and use item actives, but cannot use summoner spells or his normal champion abilities.
  • Sion's attack speed during Glory in Death is fixed at 1.75; it can not be slowed nor hastened while the reanimation stands.
  • Sion's death timer will begin to tick down when he is first killed, not when Glory in Death's reanimation expires.
  • The cooldown of Death Surge is refreshed upon triggering Glory in Death, meaning it is always available to cast each time Sion dies.
  • Glory in Death will still trigger if Sion is killed by the Nexus Obelisk.
  • Glory in Death occupies a low priority for effects that trigger upon death: it will always trigger after effects such as Guardian Angel item.png Guardian Angel's or Yorick Yorick's Omen of Death.png Omen of Death.
    • However, Mordekaiser Mordekaiser's Children of the Grave.png Children of the Grave will not take control of Sion until after the reanimation has expired, meaning that if the reanimation lasts long enough, Children of the Grave will fail to produce a ghost of Sion.
  • The ticks Sion will stay in his frenzy are roughly given by the formula T = [3.7195 + 2.8571 * M / (L+1)]^0.5 - 1.9286. Where M is his maximum health and L his level.
  • If Sion gains a buff (such as Crest of Cinders.png Crest of Cinders) during Glory in Death's reanimation, he will not lose that buff when the reanimation expires.
  • Sion cannot be targeted by Tahm Kench Tahm Kench's Devour.png Devour while in this state.

Ability Details
Decimating Smash is a channeled area of effect, that increases its effects depending on how long is charged.

Projectile enemies stop upon colliding with terrain or reaching the end of their trajectory.

Ability Details
Roar of the Slayer is primarily a linear, colliding skillshot, but if the first unit struck is not a champion, it becomes an area of effect ability.

Additional Information:

  • Minions and monsters cannot be pushed through walls, even when the knockback would ordinarily leave them within passable terrain.
  • Minions and monsters knocked back by Roar of the Slayer.png Roar of the Slayer are invulnerable for the duration of the Airborne icon knock back.

Unstoppable Onslaught
COST: 100 mana
COOLDOWN: 140 / 100 / 60
Unstoppable Onslaught

First Cast: Sion charges in the target direction for up to 8 seconds, during which he cannot cast abilities nor attack, but is immune to all crowd control. Sion's trajectory updates itself toward the cursor over the duration, but his turn rate is decreased.

Unstoppable Onslaught 2

Second Cast: Sion halts his charge and slams the ground after a brief delay, dealing physical damage to nearby enemies and enemy turrets. If Sion stops directly in front of narrow terrain, he dashes over it.

If Sion collides with an enemy champion, structure, terrain, or charges for the full duration, he slams the ground, dealing physical damage to nearby enemies and turrets, briefly Stun icon stunning him for structure and terrain collision.

「 Minimum Physical Damage: 150 / 300 / 450 (+ 40% bonus AD) 」「 Maximum Physical Damage: 300 / 600 / 900 (+ 80% bonus AD) 」

Damaged enemies are Slow icon slowed for 3 seconds, and those Sion directly collides with are also Airborne icon pulled into him and Stun icon stunned for 0.75 seconds.

  • Slow: 40 / 45 / 50%

Unstoppable Onslaught's damage and Stun icon stun duration increase over the first few seconds of the charge, capping at 200% damage and 1.75 seconds, respectively.

Ability Details
Unstoppable Onslaught is an area of effect ability.

Additional Information:

  • Sion's bellows can be heard by all players globally.
  • Turn Rate is a term carried on from DotA. This represents a ratio that is granted to calculate the time required to turn into a commanded direction. Turn Rate is traditionaly measured on the time required to turn 180º and expressed in radians per 0.03 seconds, thus takes π (~3.14) radians to take a 180º turn.
    • The Turn Rate's equation is (0.03 × π) / T = t. Where T is the Turn Rate and t the time required to turn.
      • In the hypothetical case of modifying a unit's time to turn, the modifier will be directly multiplied to the base Turn Rate.
      • The Champion's time to turn is instant, despite this is not to imply zero, rather be that none possess a Turn Rate. Unstoppable Onslaught just grant such to Sion over the ability's duration.
  • Unstoppable Onslaught's pull effect is considered a knockup for the purpose of Last Breath.png Last Breath.
  • Unstoppable Onslaught takes into account impassable player-created terrain such as Jarvan IV Jarvan IV's Cataclysm.png Cataclysm Anivia Anivia's Crystallize.png Crystallize, Azir Azir's Emperor's Divide.png Emperor's Divide, Trundle Trundle's Pillar of Ice.png Pillar of Ice and Taliyah Taliyah's Weaver's Wall.png Weaver's Wall.
    • If Sion hits an already placed Taliyah ult, his ult will not be cancelled. This might be a bug.
  • Unstoppable Onslaught can damage enemy structures.
  • While Unstoppable Onslaught is active, Sion's movement speed is hard capped at 950. As a consequence of this, building movement speed items will only cause him to gain ground over the initial acceleration and does not grant a significant increase in total distance travelled.
    • If Sion has a movement speed over 950 when he casts Unstoppable Onslaught, he will actually suffer a decreased movement speed.
