Skarner, the Crystal Vanguard is a champion in League of Legends [1].

Abilities

Crystallizing Sting
Crystallizing Sting

 Crystal Slash and  Fracture build stacks of Crystallizing Sting Crystal Venom on the target enemy, stacking up to 3 times.

Attacking an enemy with 3 stacks consumes them to deal 15 + (5 × Skarner's level) bonus magic damage and stun the target for 0.5 / 0.75 / 1 seconds. After the stun, targets cannot receive Crystallizing Sting Crystal Venom stacks for 6 seconds.

Crystal Slash

Active: Skarner deals physical damage to all enemies within range.

  • Physical damage: 18 / 28 / 38 / 48 / 58 (+ 40% bonus AD)

Hitting an enemy will charge himself with Crystal Slash Crystal Energy for 5 seconds and stacking up to 3 times, granting bonus attack speed and movement speed and causing subsequent casts to deal bonus magic damage while these stacks persist.

Basic attacks reduce the cooldown of Crystal Slash by 0.5 seconds (doubled against enemy champions).

Impale

Active: Skarner rears his stinger, rooting his target for 0.25 seconds as he brings his stinger down, dealing magic damage and suppressing it for 1.75 seconds. At the end of the suppression, the target takes the same damage again.

  • Total damage: 200 / 300 / 400 (+ 100% AP)

For the duration, Skarner can move freely and drag his victim around with him. Impale consumes all  Crystal Venom stacks to deal bonus magic damage per stack.

Ability Details

Impale is a single targeted ability.

Additional Information:

  • If Impale's suppression is removed via a method of crowd control removal such as Quicksilver, the secondary damage is not dealt.
  • If Skarner loses sight of his target or if his target exceeds a range threshold during the initial 0.25 seconds, the ability is cancelled but does not go on cooldown.
    • Impale's target can exceed the threshold either by being in the process of dashing when immobilized, removing the immobilize and then quickly moving away, or by an ally knocking Skarner back.
  • Skarner's target will follow him around regardless of the method of movement - including through forced movement spells such as  Buster Shot and  Dark Passage.
  • While Impale's suppress is active, Skarner is considered to be facing in the direction of his movement, not the direction he is facing, for the purposes of abilities such as  Petrifying Gaze and  Mocking Shout.
