Akhan, Chains of the Lord is a who fills the support role in a different and more intimidating way than others supports. Akhan doesn't use mana, instead, he has a "chain meter" that increases the range of some Akhan abilities.


Infinite chains

Akhan generates chains inside his body. When he has more than 25% of the chain meter, the range of his next ability will be further, but will consume chains depending on how further the ability has been casted.

Akhan generates 5% of the chain meter every second. Minions and monsters dying nearby him generate 10%, and kills and assists generate 25%.

The chain meter has a capacity of 500 units.

Only one ability at time can benefit from infinite chains.

This also showcase a scaling passive, such as 10 / 25 / 100 or 6 + (3 × level).

Active: Akhan creates a chain with a weight in the end and smashes a place with it, dealing damage to enemies en the target location and along the chain. Enemies hit by the chain are slowed and enemies in the target location are also knocked back from it. The slow decays with duration.

Chain snake

Active: Akhan casts a shield on him or a nearby ally. The shield gives armor and reduced crowd control effect. If the shield wielder receives an attack, the chains will jump to the attacker, rooting him in place. The armor and Crowd control buff lasts 2 seconds after the shield is lost by an attack.

Dual destinies

Active: Akhan binds himself and an ally with a chain, draining health and healing himself and his ally, each with 50% of the health drained. The ally bound will be the one with less health. Recasting this spell will make Akhan lose his chain and bind his ally with his enemy, giving all the remaining drained health to his ally. He can use the recast on an ally to choose who will be the bound with the enemy. The chain meter will continue descending for the duration. If the target exceeds maximum range, the chain meter will start being consumed, even if it falls under 25% of it. This ability consumes double the normal chain meter values.

Unlimtied chain works

Akhan releases all his chains, binding himself to every enemy champion in range. All the enemy champions are damaged and slowed. Casting another of his abilities during Unlimited chain works will consume it and cause an additional effect, based on the ability used.

Unlimited chain works will always bind enemy champions in range, and start consuming the chain meter after they are binded.

Unlimited chain works will full the chain meter on cast.

  • Smashing!: Akhan releases his chains making a ripple. When the ripple hits the target, they are stunned for 1.2 seconds.

  • Chain snake!: Akhan roots himself in the ground for 2.5 seconds, taking 25% less damage. No enemy champion is allowed to exit Akhan's maximum range during this time, and cannot break the chain.

  • Dual destinies!: Akhan deals 20% (+ 3% bonus health) of his maximum health as Magic damage to all enemies bound and consumes 20% of Akhan current health. The damage dealt and the health consumed is distributed between friendly enemy champions near Akhan, including Akhan himself. Akhan cannot be healed for more than his health consumed.
