Octane, the Shadow of Fear is a custom champion that's shamelessly inspired by Nocturne Nocturne and Kha'Zix Kha'Zix.

Concept

Octane is an assassin specializing in bursting down enemies who are isolated from their allies. The main thing about Octane is his feel; its kit facilitates people to be wary at all times, especially when alone. Octane can attack from unexpected angles with Fear Assault, enter within melee range of enemies while invisible with Hidden Terror, and pull enemies suddenly with Inescapable Chains.

Octane's E, False Shadow has many uses. Octane can use it as a pseudo-Flash, moving through walls and escaping from sticky situations. It can also use the shadow to increase its damage output, or scout areas for enemies. The false shadow is indistinguishable from Octane, leaving enemies wondering "Is it real? Is it fake? Is the real one coming?"

I'm worried that I made Octane's job too easy with his kit.

Octane marks enemies in range that are isolated from their allies, and deals 30% increased damage to isolated foes.


Fear Assault

Ability

Active: Octane launches itself along target line, dealing magic damage to enemies he hits and inflicting fear on them for 1 second. If only one enemy is hit by Fear Assault, the fear duration is increased to 1.5 seconds.

Ability

Passive: Octane detects and reveals isolated enemy champions within range.

Active: For 1 second, Octane attempts to enter stealth, which is increased to 3 seconds if Octane is visible to enemies. While in stealth, Octane gains 20% movement speed. When Octane exits stealth by autoattacking or using abilities, it gains bonus attack damage for 5 seconds.

False Shadow

Ability

Active: Octane creates a controllable clone of itself at target location that lasts for 10 seconds. This decoy can move and autoattack, but deals a percentage of Octane's damage. When the clone takes damage from an enemy champion, its duration is reduced by two seconds. Reactivating False Shadow will teleport Octane to the clone's location and remove the clone.

Ability

Active: Octane throws shadowy chains at target enemy champion, dealing magic damage to them and dragging them to Octane's location at a speed of 400. The enemy champion is suppressed as long as the chains are active and for 2 seconds after reaching Octane's location. Enemies have true sight of Octane while the chains are active.

  • Magic Damage: 150 / 275 / 400 (+ 80% AD) (+ 100% AP)
