Edas, the Armed Automaton, is a champion that I decided to make for no apparent reason.

Abilities

Automated Attack System

Attack speed does not increase the speed of his basic attacks. Instead, he attacks once every 0.8 seconds, with basic attacks dealing 53.5% - 79% (based on level) AD. Each attack can apply on-hit effects.

Edas also charges his basic attacks. After 7 - 2.8 seconds, his next basic attack will be a Charged Strike, dealing 19 - 70 (based on level) (+ 40 / 45 / 50 / 55 / 60% bonus AD) bonus physical damage.

Edas can store up to 2 Charged Strikes through Automated Attack System.

Ability Details
Automated Attack System is a self-buff.

Additional Information:

  • Critical strike icon Critical strikes will still work normally.
  • The cooldown of Edas's empowered attacks is based on attack speed, so attack speed-slowing effects will affect the cooldown.
  • Though Edas can only gain 2 Charged Strikes from Automated Attack System, he can hold more through Blade Flurry and Electrical Overload.
  • Charged Strike's cooldown reduction through bonus attack speed is capped at 120% bonus attack speed.

Active: Edas slashes his blades rapidly from side to side five times, dealing physical damage every 0.3 seconds.

Every time Edas slashes, he will also move forward 30 units, for a total of 150 units.

If at least four of Blade Flurry's slashes strike an opponent, he will gain a Charged Strike.

Ability Details
Blade Flurry is a channeled conic area of effect ability that moves Edas forwards.

Additional Information:

  • Blade Flurry does not allow Edas to travel over terrain.
  • Edas does not need to hit the same enemy in order to get a Charge Strike.


Power Surge

Active: Edas grants himself a shield. The shield lasts 5 seconds, and, as long as it lasts, Edas will reduce the time between his attacks to 0.6 seconds.

  • Shield: 90 / 130 / 170 / 210 / 250 (+ 25% AP)

If the shield is still up after 5 seconds, Edas will gain bonus armor and magic resistance for 3.5 seconds. He will also regenerate 30% of the remaining shield as mana, capped at 150% of Power Surge's mana cost.

  • Bonus resistances: 25 / 30 / 35 / 40 / 45%

When Power Surge is still active, Edas's basic attacks will strengthen the shield by 20% of the original amount, up to a maximum of 200% of the original shield's strength.

Active: Edas tosses an electrical explosive that deals magic damage to and applies a 1.5-second Slow icon slow to all enemies caught in the detonation.

  • Slow: 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 / 60%

The bomb leaves behind an Energy Zone which increases Edas's movement speed while inside the area. Energy Zones last 35 seconds.

  • Movement speed: 15 / 17.5 / 20 / 22.5 / 25%
Ability Details
Charge Grenade is a ground-targeted area of effect ability that also leaves behind an area which grants bonus movement speed.

Additional Information:

  • The bomb for Charge Grenade takes around 0.7 seconds to land at the targeted area.


Electrical Overload
RANGE: 425
COST: 100 / 125 / 150 mana
COOLDOWN: 120 / 105 / 90

Active: Edas initiates an energy discharge protocol and channels for 1 second before sending out an electric blast, dealing magic damage to and Slow icon slowing all enemies hit for 2 seconds, decaying over the duration. He will also deal 8% of his maximum health as true damage to himself.

  • Magic damage: 140 / 220 / 300 (+ 85% AP) (+ 110% bonus AD)
  • Slow: 50 / 65 / 80%

Edas gains a Charged Strike for each enemy champion struck in the blast. Also, each enemy champion hit will be marked. Edas can consume the mark with his basic attacks to deal bonus magic damage equal to 7% of the target's maximum health. This mark lasts 8 seconds.

If Electrical Overload's area of effect comes into contact with an Energy Zone, the Energy Zone will detonate, dealing Charge Grenade's damage to all enemies in the area but destroying the Energy Zone. Enemies caught in the detonation will be Slow icon slowed for Electrical Overload's Slow icon slow.

Electrical Overload cannot be activated if Edas is below 20% maximum health.

Ability Details
Electrical Overload is a point blank area of effect ability.

Additional Information:

  • Enemies hit by the Energy Zone will not grant Edas a Charged Strike.
    • They will also not be marked.
  • Damage from Energy Overload's blast and Energy Zone detonation will stack.
