As a disclaimer, I am a bit sick while I am writing this to you, my readers, so please bear with what you might call my nonsense.
So, as you may all know it is over 2 months since our last champion, Aatrox joined the League. 2 weeks later, the Rioter known as Xelnath mentioned a rework on both Yorick and Xerath, and later on one considering Skarner. The new Master Yi, or rather improved, should I say, entered the Fields of Justice not too long ago. Heimerdinger's rework was supposed to be live 'till now, etc. So, I believe you might be wondering about the same thing I am... What is Riot really up to?
Usually, Riot releases around 20 champions a year. Now, some of you are going to say that they are reworking and upgrading models of many older champs, I am aware. But let's see what has happened this year:
- 5 New champions, 1 Currently on the PBE;
- A whole new map, the Howling Abyss. Purposely made for the gamemode ARAM;
- Around 8 VU on champions;
- Around 6 champion reworks.
Upcoming features include the Magma Chamber, replay feature, a number of VUs and reworks, etc.
Before Dominion was leaked, Supremacy was mentioned by Riot. This has happened months before the release of the Crystal Scar. Could this mean that something big that may shape League is on the horizon? Or perhaps another change to a specific location, similar to the one for Freljord?
I could think of a VU of Summoners Rift, most likely because of Riot's newest cinematic, where it showed our dear Baron Nashor, in a much more gruesome and terrifying form.
Most likely it will be a faction update, similar to the one for Freljord. If this theory is true, I would put my bets on the Void, due to the reason the Void lore needs updating, Cho'Gath will be getting a VU soon, and the possible release of Kassadin's daughter and Kog'Maw's daddy.
I would like to hear your ideas. Perhaps, I may add a section for those that are mind-boggling enough? Well, until next time, readers. :)
