Greetings fellow summoners,

Today I'd like to discuss a couple of changes I'd like to see happening to Wit's End item Wit's End. Not that the item isn't fine as it is, just that it could be better for it's role and more logical.

Build PathEdit

Currently Wit's End is built from a Null-Magic Mantle item Null-Magic Mantle, Dagger item Dagger and Recurve Bow item Recurve Bow. In the magic resistance tree it is the only non-boots item that is built directly from a Magic Mantle and I'd like to change this. The proposed change in build path would also directly augment it's use as a sustained damage dealing defensive item. What I had in mind:

Recurve Bow item + Hexdrinker item

This build path raises a few hairs, since it would include an item that grants AD. However this wouldn't be the first time that additional stats are lost for passive effects. Therefore I'd keep this as is, however for the purpose of changing the passive increasing the MR slightly seems in order.

+ 50 Magic Resistance + 40% Attack Speed

This is where it gets interesting. When you take Hexdrinker item Hexdrinker into account some form of shielding seems in order. This linked with Wit's End stacking nature and design for extended fights I'd propose the following passive.

  • Unique - LIFELINE: Basic attacks deal +40 on-hit magic damage. You gain a shield that absorbs magic damage equal to the damage dealt trough this passive (for a maximum of 125).
  • Unique: Basic attacks (on-hit) reduce the target's magic resistance by 5 for 5 seconds. Stacks up to 5 times for a total of 25 magic resistance reduction.

With the passives like this you would be unable to get the passive bonus from Maw of Malmortius item Maw of Malmortius as well. It preserves Wit's End stacking nature.

Any numbers are just there for examples, anything that enters the game gets tested rigorously and gets tweaked accordingly.

With this in mind, please let me know what you think.
