Abilities

Pierce

The Ranger's abilities and the first two auto-attacks after an ability inflict Pierce for 5 seconds, causing effected enemies to take 5% additional Spell Damage per stack. Pierce stacks up to 5 times.

COST: 30 / 40 / 50 / 60 / 70 mana
COOLDOWN: 16 / 15 / 14 / 13 / 12 seconds

The Ranger fires an arrow in the target direction. It deals damage to the first enemy it hits, leaving a mark on the enemy hit. If the enemy marked dies or is attacked by the Ranger within 10 seconds, the mark is consumed, recovering the Ranger's Health and Mana. The arrow does not give sight of enemies near it, nor does the mark.

Rambling

Originally the Passive was Snipe, and it went "After casting an ability, the Ranger's next attack is global." That doesn't work. :P So I changed it to "can attack while moving, but suffers a -150% attack speed penalty", then I realized that that wouldn't really serve a good enough function (though with Frozen Mallet it would mean infinite chase/escape versus 1 enemy), nor really be spectacular. So instead, I went with a damage boost passive, then with E (because I wanted to give it more effects because it felt weak) I appended an ability-damage reduction. For no reason, other than fun.
