Dimitri, the Surgeon's Fervor is a champion suggestion by Emptylord.

Dimitri uses a unique secondary resource, Charge. Dimitri begins at 0 charge and it caps at 100. Dimitri generates charge while tethered to an allied champion using Emptylord DemetryQ Rejuvenation Bond and with his auto attacks while using Emptylord DemetryW Arcane Influx in the untethered-stance. His other abilities consume charge. On death, he loses all charge. Upon reaching 0 charge, Dimitri will return to the Emptylord DemetryQ Rejuvenation Bond stance.

Dimitri uses two sets of stance abilities. Activating his abilities sets off a 0.5 second global cooldown.

  • Untethered: These abilities have no cost and no cooldown (other than the global cooldown), but also have no level-up incentives. These function as Dimitri's innate abilities, as Dimitri's actual innate is his ultimate.
  • Tethered: These abilities cost 10 charge to cast, and drain charge while active. Dimitri's anchor is the primary focus of his abilities.

His tethered stances and untethered stances have independent cooldowns. As there is no way to form a bond on an ally without changing to the Rejuvenation Bond stance, there is no way to abuse this to bypass cooldowns or accidentally waste charge.

  • Dimitri gains no attack speed per level.
  • Dimitri starts the game with an Hextech Capacitor Hextech Capacitor, which permanently occupies one of his item slots. Dimitri can spend 1000 gold to upgrade his Hextech Capacitor, increasing its stats. The Hextech Capacitor is features an active that toggles between two settings: Hyperdrive and Resurgence, which drains the Hextech Capacitor's battery. The Hextech Capacitor is recharged by visiting the fountain.

Upon obtaining 100 Charge, Dimitri gains the ability to cast Last Stand using any learned basic ability.

Active: Dimitri supercharges his anchor with one of two effects, depending on his Hextech Capacitor's current setting. The effect lasts for 1.5 seconds and Dimitri's charge will deplete to 0 over the duration.

Dimitri can activate this ability again to select a new anchor, or can target himself to sever the bond. If Dimitri has an anchor, he can activate this ability with no target to return to this stance.

This ability is available at level 1.

  • Leash Range: 1225


Persistent Effect: Dimirti heals his anchor at a rate equal to Dimitri's attack speed. If his anchor is full health, Dimirti will begin generating a shield at the same rate up to 10% of his anchor's maximum health. The shield depletes over 5 seconds when Dimitri exists this stance or the bond is broken.

Dimitri accumulates 2.5 charge with every instance of healing or shield generation.


  • Heal: 0.4% of their maximum health (+1% per 100 AP)


Notes:

  • As a point of reference, Soraka Soraka's Astral Blessing.png Astral Blessing heals at a rate of 3.5 / 7 / 10.5 / 14 / 17.5 (+ 2.25% AP) per second (without cooldown reduction). Note that Dimitri's heal isn't per second, it's at a rate equal to his attack speed. At the common base attack speed (0.625), Dimitri heals every 1.6 seconds (which works out at 4.4 health a second at level 1). The more attack speed he buys, the more often he heals.
    • I'm trialing percentile healing.
  • The activation of Last Stand is similar to Rengar's empowered abilities or Zyra's Vengeful Thorn. The individual skill cooldowns are irrelevant: upon reaching 100 charge, Q, W and E become available and won't go away until you cast it. His cooldowns will continue in the background.
  • As Dimitri's abilities drain charge per second but the effects occur based on his attack speed, Dimitri makes the most of his effects utilizing a combination of ability power and attack speed: as ability power increases the potency, and attack speed increases the frequency.

Help Wanted

  • Proposal 1: Should Emptylord DemetryQ Rejuvenation Bond heal for a percentage of the targets maximum health, rather than a flat amount? At the moment, it might be too strong on squishies but useless on tanks...
  • Proposal 2: Should Emptylord DemetryQ Rejuvenation Bond be disruptable? For example, as with Anivia Anivia's Glacial Storm.png Glacial Storm, using hard cc on Dimitri would sever the leash. This would add counter-play to Dimitri.
  • Proposal 3: Should I rework his kit so Emptylord DemetryQ Rejuvenation Bond can be cast on an enemy?
  • Proposal 4: Should Dimitri also benefit from Emptylord DemetryR Last Stand? At the moment, it's distinct from Kayle Kayle's Intervention.png Intervention because it has two effects but they can only be used on an ally. At the moment, Dimitri can still be killed.

Notes

  • Dimitri gains no attack speed per level.
  • Rejuvenation Bond and Last Stand are both available freely at level 1. Last Stand cannot be ranked, meaning each of his basic abilities can be ranked 6 times each (for a total of 7 ranks on Rejuvenation Bond).

  • Dimitri is inspired by Team Fortress's Medic, and directly quotes him when he reaches 100% chagre.
  • His first joke is reference to Portal 2, and is directed at the Battlecast skins.
  • His second joke is an answer to Kha'Zix Kha'Zix's joke.
  • His special taunt, "Shutdown!", is a double entendre. It both refers to the ending of said champion's rampage, and the shutting down of a computer/machine.

Stance: Dimitri charge begins draining rapidly, supercharging his anchor. The effect of Last Stand varies depending on whether or not Dimitri has higher attack damage or ability power at the time of activation. Dimitri can only activate Last Stand at 100 charge, and it cannot be deactivated.

If Dimitri's AP is higher - Dimitri's anchor becomes invulnerable.
If Dimitri's AD is higher - Dimitri's anchor gains 100% critical strike chance.


Alternate Remake

In this version, Dimitri uses two sets of stance abilities. His primary set have no cost but have no level-up incentives; so he can freely change between stance to gain passive effects. While anchored to an ally using his innate ability, he gains charge using his Q, and loses charge using his W, E and R. Dimitri cannot use his ultimate without being tethered to an allied champion.

While tethered to an ally, Dimitri gains access to an alternate set of stances. Dimitri can select a new anchor each time he changes stance; or it will automatically select his current anchor. Dimitri can sever the bond by self-casting any of his basic abilities, or by exceeding the range.
