The core theme was a collaboration with Willbachbakal, although specific balance changes took different directions.

Core Mechanic

  • Critical Strikes: Basic attacks and sources of ability damage (excluding applied DOTs) will generates stacks on your target. At 3 stacks, they will take Critical Damage. Persistent area of effects will not generate stacks more frequently than once every 0.4 seconds.
  • Critical Damage: 0%.
    • Champions do not have any innate Critical Damage.
Accommodation
  • Critical Strike Chance and Critical Strike Damage runes removed.

Aatrox Aatrox
  • General
    • Aatrox does not generate critical strike stacks. Instead, his every 3rd attack is guaranteed to trigger Critical Damage.

Ashe Ashe
  • General
    • Ashe's ability damage does not apply critical strike stacks.
  • Frost Shot.png Frost Shot
    • No longer applies bonus damage to frosted enemies and she now critically strikes normally.
    • Ashe's critical strikes will still apply a stronger slow.
  • Ranger's Focus.png Ranger's Focus (reworked)
    • Passive: Ashe's critical strikes Focus.png Focuses her target for 5 seconds or until she switches target. Versus her Focus, Ashe gains bonus attack speed and her attacks are modified to fire a flurry of five arrows, dealing 115 / 120 / 125 / 130 / 135% AD) physical damage. Ashe does not generate critical strike stacks versus Focused enemies, but each flurry is guaranteed to trigger Critical Damage.
Caitlyn Caitlyn
  • General
    • Yordle Snap Trap and 90 Caliber Net cannot trigger Critical Damage, but will apply sufficient stacks to guarantee Caitlyn's next attack or Piltover Peacemaker will critically strike.
    • Ace in the Hole will apply sufficient stacks during the channel to guarantee that it will trigger Critical Damage.
  • Headshot.png Headshot
    • Revised Innate: Caitlyn's may attack targets primed to take critical damage from double range and her critical strikes benefit from 50% bonus-armor penetration.
  • Yordle Snap Trap.png Yordle Snap Trap
    • Passive: Caitlyn's critical strikes deal 10 / 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 % AD bonus physical damage, doubled versus non-champions.
    • No longer guarantees Piltover Peacemaker deals full damage.
Diana Diana

    • Diana does not generate critical strike stacks. Instead, his every 3rd attack is guaranteed to critically strike.

Ekko Ekko

    • Revised Innate: Ekko's critical strikes deal bonus magic damage and slow the target. This damage applies spell effects. Additionally, Ekko gains bonus movement speed whenever he critically strikes a champion.
Fiora Fiora

    • Jhin's critical strikes deal 15 / 20 / 25% of the target's missing health as bonus physical damage and grant him bonus movement speed.
    • Jhin no longer gains bonus attack damage based on his critical strike chance.
Kassadin Kassadin

    • Revised Passive: Kassadin's critical strikes deal bonus magic damage and restore a percentage of his missing mana. Mana restored is increased versus champions. This damage applies spell effects.

    • Master Yi does not generate critical strike stacks. Instead, his every 3rd attack is guaranteed to trigger Critical Damage.

    • Revised Passive: Master Yi's critical strikes deal 50% AD bonus damage and apply bonus on-hit effects.
  • Alpha Strike.png Alpha Strike
    • Bonus critical damage removed. Alpha Strike can apply Double Strike instead.
Nocturne Nocturne

    • Revised Innate: Nocturne's critical strikes deal 20% AD bonus physical damage. Additionally, Nocturne's critical strikes deal 120% AD splash damage to surrounding enemies and restore health per enemy hit (including his main target).

Tristana Tristana
  • Explosive Charge.png Explosive Charge
    • New Passive: Tristana's critical strikes deal 60 / 70 / 80 / 90 / 100 % AD splash damage to units 185-units from her target, decaying down to 10 / 20 / 30 / 40 / 50% AD to enemies within 185 and 385 units of her target.
    • Revised Active: Tristana hurls an explosive charge at her target that explodes after 4 seconds, dealing physical damage in an area. Basic attacks against the target will increase the damage dealt by Explosive Charge by 40% and a critical strike will detonate the charge early.
Tryndamere Tryndamere

    • Revised Innate: Tryndamere's critical strikes deal 1% AD physical damage for every point of Fury.
    • No longer generates bonus Fury on critical strikes.
