Hello people and Happy New Year from me.

Back in the day when Lucian was about to come out I was very hyped. He seemed very interesting and very new. I loved his gun templar theme and I also liked that he wielded dual pistols.

When his kit finally came out it seemed and it still seems not on par with his theme and looks. I think there could be some tweaks here and there. To be completely honest, he is fine now, he is balanced but many people would expect a lot from the character like him.

So this is my attempt at making Lucuian more interesting.

Abilities

Light And Shadow

While using basic attacks, Lucian alternates between his pistols, Light and Shadow. When attacking with Light, it will double your flat armor penetration (only flat, percentage remains the same) and restore mana equal to 2% of damage dealt. When attacking with Shadow, it deals 120% of total attack damage (when critically striking only total attack damage will be increased but not the damage from Shadow). Also if it kills the target it will restore 2% of missing health.


Piercing Light RANGE: 500 / 1100COST: 50 / 55 / 60 / 65 / 70 manaCOOLDOWN: 9 / 8 / 7 / 6 / 5

Active: After a 0.35-second delay, Lucian fires a laser in the direction of the target enemy, dealing physical damage to all enemies in a line.

*Physical Damage: 80 / 110 / 140 / 170 / 200 (+ 60 / 75 / 90 / 105 / 120% bonus AD)

Ability Details

Ardent Blaze RANGE: 1000COST: 50 manaCOOLDOWN: 14 / 13 / 12 / 11 / 10

Passive: If Lucian attacks a target with Ardent Blaze debuff, he will attack his target with both pistols at the same time dealing his total AD twice and applying his passive as usual.

ACTIVE: Lucian fires a cross-like shot that explodes upon contact with enemy unit or if it reaches maximum distance. It deals magic damage to all units hit and marks them with "Ardent Blaze" debuff for 4 seconds. If Lucian kills the target he gains movement speed bonus for 5 seconds, half duration for minions.

*Magic Damage: 60 / 100 / 140 / 180 / 220 (+ 90% AP)


Bonus Movement Speed: 60 / 65 / 70 / 75 / 80


Relentless Pursuit RANGE: 500COST: 40 / 30 / 20 / 10 / 0 manaCOOLDOWN: 18

ACTIVE: Lucian dashes a short distance. If Lucian dashes to an enemy champion, he will then jump over them and dash the same range (total of 1000 units) in the same direction and will attack the target with both pistols at once upon landing.

Lucian can jump over allied and enemy structures in the same manner but he won't attack the structure.

The Culling RANGE: 1400COST: 100 manaCOOLDOWN: 130

Active: Lucian starts firing basic attacks in a straight line. Each shot will deal total attack damage but every 5th consecutive attack on the same target will have 100% critical strike chance.

During this time Lucian can move with WSAD keys (their usual functions will be disabled during ultimate) and will shoot in the direction of mouse cursor.

You can cancel The Culling early by pressing R again but for each unfired shot cooldown will be shortened by 1 second.

During this time Lucian can't cast other spells and will have his movement speed reduced by 15% percent.

Shots Fired: 10/15/20

I solved some things that Lucian has with his ultimate. Once you start shooting you will only shoot in one direction which can be a bit problematic. Some numbers may be off but he is overall more fun to me at least.

Relentless Pursuit and Ardent Blaze are not just plain average. E is now more acrobatic and can be used to actually relentlessly pursuit enemy units, by jumping behind them or if they run you will jump right in front of their face.

Ardent Blaze is not just that light thingy that everyone ignores, it now marks you and makes Lucian able to do a lot of damage. Also to reduce its power I gave it kill only movement speed.

Numbers would still have to be tweaked but I think you could actually counter this kit. His dash is only 500 units which is still very near and his ult makes him move slower. Also I made his vulnerable during his ult to counter its huge damage. By not being able to cast summoner spells and usual spells you can't escape that easily. You either have to cancel your ult or you have to face your enemies.
