Edit: JIMMIES HAVE BEEN RUSTLED.
The Meta. For those who don't know what it means, it implies (simply) what is the correct things to do for anything. This game's meta dedicates many things and many of the things I actually followed when I was lower level and skill. But as I got better and better, I started to see other champions that could fill in a 'support' role even better than a support champion could even though they don't have any healing abilites.
I believe, after gaming for so long, the Meta isn't something that is clear to everyone rather than a perspective throughout each and every player. So below, I'll leave a nice little view of my own lanes and a little desc. why the work (at least for me).

I've actually went through many matches with Pantheon as support and like the others I've suggested, they have all have high burst damage which makes giving your ADC a kill so much easier than being a passive support. My belief is that if you can feed your carry fast enough and shut the lane down fast enough, it wouldn't make a difference if you could heal your ADC or not. Obviously, I don't farm with these guys and build a Philso. Stone for the lack of gold (Or Avarice to keep up with damage when I need to)
- Kayle (But this has surfaced and become noticed. I put this here because I played her BEFORE people saw she could be ADC)
- Talon: For the simple reason that if you put an assassin like Talon bot lane against his target, the ADC, early game and shut them down then you already complete half your goal. THE LOGIC: IF THE ENEMY'S ADC IS DOWN AND THEY DON'T HAVE ONE BECAUSE TALON SHUT THEM DOWN, THEN WHY DO WE NEED ONE WHEN TALON CAN DO SHUT DOWN THEIR ADC?
And I don't have any opinions on Jungle/Mid/Top since I usually don't bother YELLING for those roles. I tend to play bot lane and have a greater imagination with bot laning.
Feedback would be nice but again, IF YOU DISAGREE WITH WHAT I SAY THEN I GUESS I JUST RUSTLED YOUR JIMMIES
