Explanation for Two Skill Kits
Classic Maki (Warrior)
Classic Maki (Archer)
So you might be wondering ... why two skill kits?
Well, originally, I was going to have Maki designed as a dual-weapon/mode champion much in the same vein as Jayce, but I ultimately decided to veer away from this direction because the initial drafts were too clunky and awkward.
So instead, I decided to put together a separate skill kit for each of Maki's weapons - the sealing staff and the Japanese longbow. Both kits reflect Maki's shrine maiden concept in different manners.
The first kit, the Warrior, gears Maki toward being a bruiser role. She is especially capable of throwing herself into the fray and becoming a real threat to her opponents. On the other hand, the Archer version is designed to be a high-risk, high-reward marksman style that emphasizes great positioning to maximize damage output.
Also, I would like to give a special thank you to Willbachbakal for providing insight, ideas and other assistance for the following two skill-kits. From number crunching to design checks, Willbachbakal sure helped out a lot and then some.
