Rade, the Ionic Lightning is a custom champion in League of Legends.


Abilities

Sparkling Edge

Using basic attack against an enemy champion or epic monster causes Rade's sword to charge itself for 6 seconds. Continuous attacks against this type of enemy will refresh the duration.

After 2.5 seconds, the charge becomes unstable, causing potential basic attack to deal additional true damage equal to 40 / 75 / 125 + 3% of target's max health + 10% bonus AD on hit and consume the charge.

After charge duration expires without being used, it is consumed to heal 2% of Rade's max health + 4% of Rade's missing health over 4 seconds.

Rade raises her sword up to the skies for up to 5 seconds, being unable to perform basic attacks, but able to move and use Ionic Shock's and Lightning Flash's active.

For each second of holding the sword up, she gains bonus attack damage for 9 seconds after she ends charging the damage.

Ending the charge also summons a thunderbolt at nearest target (prioritizing champions), dealing physical damage and revealing it for 2 seconds. This thunderbolt can crit (chance based on Rade's critical strike chance), dealing increased damage.

  • Thunderbolt's physical damage: 50 / 80 / 110 / 140 / 170 (+ 50% bonus AD)
  • Thunderbolt's crit damage: 80 / 130 / 180 / 230 / 280 (+ 80% bonus AD)

Passive: Every 5 basic attacks, Rade releases a chain lightning that hits the target and up to 4 additional enemies, dealing magic damage to the target and lower magic damage to additional enemies. All enemies hit also have their attack speed reduced for 2.5 seconds. Active: Grants bonus movement speed for 4 seconds and adds 3 stacks to Ionic Shock's passive count.

Strategy

Rade is a melee carry that scales very well with attack speed and attack damage and quite good with health and critical strikes.

Can go top and jungle. Would have quite good clear speed in jungle and from average to good ganks.

Rade has some mobility that can help a lot with sticking to the target, but not enough good to chase for longer distances. Rade is vulnerable to kiting.

Different types of damage and armor penetration will cut the hell out of tanks.

Rade has weak form of sustain, though it might be useful in trade lanes.
