As the title suggests, I want to ask what you think if the "Lock In" button in champion select was removed. I have seen how salty or toxic people can get in champion select, because of instalockers, taking the wrong champion (I don't know) or simply a bad team compilation and players need to change their champion. It feels like the "Lock in" button isn't really helping, even if its intention is to tell people "I'm going this champion, no questions asked". It would probably be better to simply wait for the timer to count all the way down to zero, as it's not even that long. The fact that the "Lock In" button exists means that some players aren't really caring about who their team picks, but simply wish to just enter the game and go their ow…Read more >
Today, I would like to discuss the current state of vision and Sightstone
The Assassin update has made Vision Wards (now Control Wards) less useful against Invisible champions, since it no longer grants true sight. This makes counterplay very difficult, unless you have a champion who grants true sight. This limits the number of champions that can be played against Invisible champions, since players cannot just buy a Vision Ward to counteract the stealth. This may sound like it's fair for Invisible champions, but this makes counterplay near impossible and every champion requires SOME degree of counterplay, while this update severely reduces it. And no, you can't just buy a Duskblade since the stats provided mean the item is intended fo…Read more >
Ok, I was planning on putting this suggestion in the comments on the Meditation page, but I doubted anyone would have seen it. Just in case you're not sure of what I'm talking about, I am referring to the mastery: Meditation, which regenerates a % of your missing mana every 5 seconds.
Restores % of missing mana (same as current) OR restores a flat amount of mana every 5 seconds, based on which amount of mana restored would be HIGHER.
This proposed change is intended for champions with very low mana pools, who are not likely to benefit greatly from the % missing mana restoration, compared to other champions. Tell me what you think.Read more >
Seeing as how the meta tends to prevent players from using certain champions for specific roles, an interesting idea just came to me, which would allow more variety in team compilations, as well as more freedom in champion selection. I highly doubt this would be implemented, as balancing would be very difficult and it would likely make the game too complicated. However, feel free to discuss in the comment section.
Basically, the role the player is playing will affect the kit of the champion they play. This means that playing a champion in support would have their abilities deal less damage, but provide more utility or CC, while playing as jungle would have their abilities deal more damage to monsters. Ultimately, this would mean you could p…Read more >
So, today I want to talk to you about the way champions are priced. I understand that newer champions are priced higher because, well, they're new. However, this made me wonder: Is that specific champion's price reasonable, in relation to their playstyle?
All players have their own main champions, however not everyone has the money to purchase them straight away and may be required to earn a lot of IP just to buy one champion. So, I propose that champions should be priced, not based on their release date, but rather on their difficulty level and kit.
Basically, easier to learn champions with simpler kits are priced lower, while the more harder champions with more complicated kits are priced higher. This allows the champions, w…Read more >
