Gnar's Lore OR How Riot decided to un-lore

  • 1 Greetings, Citizens of the Internet!
  • 2 The Tower Of Babel
  • 3 Cut the knot, great Alex!
  • 4 Murica can make us blind

In case you are unable to read a title or read at all, this topic is about Gnar. Not about my experiences with him on PBE (don't have access) or ranting about his gameplay (I'll leave that to the vocal minority that always screams OP at ability previews). No, I'm talking about the recent shift of style Riot has done with new champion lore. And how Gnar became the pinnacle of "backstory doesn't matter anymore in lore" for now.

I think I don't need to adress the fact that Riot becoming a huge empire of video gaming needed some sacrifices, which are in this case meaningful lore. The Judgements are long dead, the Journal has been scrapped …

LeagueTalk Z - Plan to Eradicate All ARAM-Twinks

Greetings, Citizens of the Internet!

Yesterday, I played ARAM with 2 friends after a long time. Nothing too unusual on our comp, I rolled an Evelynn and the rest was Annie, Alistar, Nasus and someone I forgot. Not the best for ARAM, but it was a team that could stand on it own merits.

Then I saw the enemy team: Ashe, Nidalee, Katarina, Lux, Vayne. Poke City, folks. As you can imagine, we couldn't stand a chance and lost rather quickly. And I immediately deduced that the enemy team might be a team of ARAM-twinks, secondary accounts that focuses on a small champion pool to optimize their performance for ARAM.

But it's not a whine-post. It's something based on my observations with Evelynn: As soon as the Inhibitor was down and they were in the b…

URF and the LoL Engine - A To-Do List

Greetings, Citizens of the Internet!

This blog post will be a bit different than my other ones, since it attempts to be a cooperative piece of work with you swell guys and gals. And with that, I'll get straight to the point:

ULTRA RAPID FIRE!

It's awesome, we all know. But for those who are interested in the abilities and limitations of the game engine itself, this also provides a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to push the limits and observe possible whacky interactions. Because 80% CD means that many abilities can overlap.

Luckily, U.R.F. is avaible for Custom Games, so it's not hard to check these for yourself, folks!

My general assumption for the following to-do list is that buffs/debuffs from the same source will not stack unless specified ot…
