This is going to be reasonably short, and you can tell what this is about from the title. Basically, I want to put forward the case that Spirit Stone and its upgrades are viable in lane. I'm going to argue the point from the perspective of me playing a particular champion. That champion is Cho'Gath.

So, first up, I want to talk about Cho and how he lanes. Cho'Gath sustains really well in lane, as his passive gives him health and mana back every time he last hits. My personal playstyle with him is to go as tanky as possible, buying minimal damage items as I believe that the base damages on all of his skills, and the bonus on-hit damage from his E deal enough, without AP scalings. Not to mention, his ult does TRUE damage. He has plenty in his…

The title pretty much says what this is gonna be about. So, I'm a big fan of Leona. I like really tanky characters. Which is why I love being ahead on Cho'Tank as (in a game earlier today) Xerath's full combo took 20% of my HP and I walked away, last hit a few minions and I'm back on full health. Anyway, tanks and initiators are my thing. I make plays for my team. If I see a chance, I just go straight in there. Leona is one of those champions that can work out really well when you do that. See someone out of position? With a Leona on their ass, they are pretty much dead.

That being said, I HATE Leona in the bot lane with a passion. I despise aggressive supports. I refuse to pick them, no matter how much my team beg me for it, I just pick so…

Been months since my last blog post, so I'm gonna have to introduce myself again. Hi, I'm Causation (that's my summoner name, different to this for many reasons). I play mainly top, but I also enjoy mid. My close friend is a support main, and plays far less than me (he introduced me to LoL a little over a year ago, he was lvl 10 at that point. 2 months later, I was 30 while he is currently 26). To help him level (albiet slowly) I also play a lot of ADC when I do get to duo with him. This led to me being rather diverse, both practically and theoretically.

I'm a natural-born theory crafter, having once mained jungle Annie for about a month and stomping with it, when I convinced my team to not dodge. For a time I mained Viktor, but I'm a Singe…

As an ex jungle main (now top), I have a decent understanding of how to jungle and how it works etc. One of the junglers played less and less, especially higher up is Shaco. Seeing him being pulled out at Katowice got me thinking about him a little.

The general consensus about Shaco and most other assasins (such as Leblanc), is that he they fall off late game. Shaco is notorious for this. As a result, he's become one of those champions that dominates early on, but if the game gets past 30 minutes, then he ends up being pretty much useless. Though I disagree about Leblanc, I agree in regards to Shaco. In my thinking about Shaco, I wondered what I can do with him. First of all, I thought about why he ends up useless late. My conclusions are …

    Xerath and AD Mids

    January 1, 2013 by StrategicMagic

Unusually for me, this is gonna be quite a short blog. It's more of a question, really. With the new bruiser items like BC and how % and flat pen have been changed, assasins like Talon are becoming popular. Some bruisers and assasins like Talon and Zed for example are known to go mid because they totally screw over a lot of mids. Some people play bruisers such as Kha'Zix and occasionally Gho'Gath mid. A large marjority, though not all bruisers and assasins tend to be AD. I'm gonna focus on those that are AD and their relationship with the (suppposedly) unviable Xerath.

AD champions deal primarily physical damage. Take Talon for example. He deals only physical damage. To deal with physical damage, you build armor. AD mids have a habit of bei…
