Restor, the Lobster Buccaneer is a custom champion in League of Legends.

This is my second champion design after Niina. This time, I did this more independently, only receive words of advice from Nhan-Fiction instead of fully collaborating. I "switched" accounts, since I was truthfully borrowing the other one for reasons that will not be disclosed. Anyways, while I'm sure this champion has possibly more errors than my last one, please give your complaints/comments/constructive criticism! - TakaHann

Fishman Immortality

As a Fishman, Restor is granted 32 (+8 per champion level) armor and half as much magic resistance, which doubles in Fishman form. For every basic attack Restor takes from an enemy champion, turret or large minion, Restor loses 10 of the Fishman’s armor and half as much of the magic resistance. Enemy champions’ AoE-inflicting abilities will be counted like a basic attack. He loses double from enemy single-target abilities and ultimate abilities. Upon losing part of this bonus, after 4 seconds, Restor will start regenerating 10% of the total bonus every second. If he's inflicted or been inflicted damage in the last 3 seconds, this regeneration is changed to 25% per second. The regeneration will not stop until Restor remains with the full bonus for 2 seconds or when 10 seconds have passed, after which a 6 second static cooldown occurs.

From the depths of the seas around Bilgewaters comes Restor, a pirate of unknown origins who sails the seas, plundering and destroying any ship in his path. While his ship may look like a wreck, the ship is not what sailors needs to fear at all. What is actually so deadly about this pirate is himself and his crew, the fishmen. Half-human and half-fish, these pirates who were once humans who died at sea, but were given second chance at life by serving Restor 100 years as an immortal servant. While Restor is also a fish-men, his power is unrivaled. Being half-lobster, his raw power makes his attacks dangerous while his armored exoskeleton makes his defense impervious to almost all. Such fish-men, instead of blasting away ships with cannons, would rather indulge in boarding ships and fighting with all their might, thereafter sinking the ship.

But Restor was not always like this. Years ago, he too was a human, sailing the seas for fame and loot. Any ship that crossed his path were looted and sunk. But, no matter how many ships he tried to sink, Restor was always non-existent in the reputation of the most well-known pirate lord: Gangplank. But one fair day, after years of this humiliation, Restor wanted to challenge Gangplank and steal his reputation. During a stormy day, Restor rammed his ship into Gangplank’s, boarding it with great ferocity. But upon boarding, even though Restor’s crew were larger in numbers, Grangplank’s crew pushed back with great defense. Soon enough, Restor knew that the drive of this defense was Gangplank himself. Restor personally boarded the Dead Pool and attacked Gangplank straight on. But sadly, within a few seconds of fighting, Restor was immediate thrown overboard by Gangplank.

As Restor sunk, feeling great awe at how weak he was, he could see through the water his ship exploding and the Dead Pool moving away. Restor had lost his crew along with his ship, and soon enough his life. His body finally reached the bottom, and he felt that he deserved to die, since he was so impudent and naive. But then, his body sank into the sand under him as he heard a ghastly voice talk to him. Restor demanded who was talking to him, but this voice gave Restor two choices: to die at the bottom of the sea full of regrets, or to live again as a lord of the sea. In desperation, along with the welling-up anger of regret, Restor asked for life. At that moment, a bright light flashed.

At the next moment, Restor noticed that he was floating on top of the water, among the debris of his fallen ship. Suddenly, a wrecked ship emerged from the water and Restor could see a strange crew aboard. Upon boarding this ship, which was almost tattered, he could see that all of the crew members were mixes of fish and human. He then looked at himself and noticed that he too was half-human, half-lobster. He then heard the ghastly voice from before asking him how he liked his new crew. With a vicious smile, Restor claimed that he loved it.

Restor restarted his quest of becoming a pirate king, with his new crew and renewed ship. But this time, he did not remain in the sea to gain this fame. He decided that he had to take this farther and go to the Institute of War, exactly where Gangplank participated in the League of Legends. If he could claim victory there, and also in the sea, he can claim the title of pirate king.

"I don't know who this Lobster-back is, but I can see he's no mere chum."

Skins & Trivia

  • Restor is a possible reference to Davy Jones, being a half-fish, half-human who leads a crew of similar undeads.
  • Within the darker alleys of Bilgewater, there can be found a mysterious seller, hunchbacked with barnacle-covered skin and a lantern-topped cane. And if you find this seller, he will be more than glad to sell a tiny casket of a mysterious rum known as “Blood Rum”. It's called "Blood Rum" due to it's crimson red complexion. Rumors say that a few drops of this “Blood Rum” is indescribably delicious that even the sickest of sailors would be energized into top shape. Yet, at the end of the day, when the sun has set, such sailors will be gone by sunrise, with no trace of where they have gone.

  • Gangplank is Restor’s sworn enemy, although it is apparent that Restor’s altered looks is not identifiable by Gangplank. Even so, Restor would like to steal the title of “Pirate King” from Gangplank.
  • Miss Fortune’s charms doesn’t work a single ounce against Restor, as he lost his “humanity”. He also doesn’t fear her, even if she is holding the title for top pirate hunter. It is even rumored that he or one of his crew may e the killer of Miss Fortune’s mother. But this is just a rumor, although Restor doesn’t deny or agree.

  • Fishman Immortatlity (Innate)
    • Restor is a Fishman, a supernatural being that is part sea-creature, part-human with abnormal strength and almost-immortality. This is both due to being almost impervious to damage, while also having an inhuman regenerative ability. Restor’s exo-skeletons helps this fact.

  • Fishman Transformation (R)
