Item ideas for Melee Carries

I would like to thank all the people who gave me feedback and helped me improve with this item line.

Strike Staff is great for melee carry champions that can deal allot of damage but usually have a hard time getting close or dealing with CC and burst damage early game.


Strike Staff is not something that Marksmen will most likely not want to buy since it takes allot of poke damage from Marksmen since they wont be able to attack Champions from the backline or at a safe distance with basic attacks without being thrust into the face of the enemy leaving them very vulnerable.

Changes

v2.3:

  • item name changed to Strike Staff from Hilted Dagger
  • Removed: Dodge
  • added 15 attack damage
  • Removed: attack speed and crit chance.
  • now builds out of Long Sword from Dagger and Brawler's Gloves.
  • New Effect: Rush
  • New Effect: Rush now has a 60 seconds cooldown
  • New Effect: Rush no longer increases the range of ranged champions
  • New Effect: Rush no longer uses charges
  • New Effect: Rush now reduces the cooldown with basic attacks versus champions by 10 seconds
  • New Effect: Rush now make user untargetable while dashing and 0.75 seconds after dashing.

v2.2:

  • attack speed increased to 25% from 20%
  • critical strike chance increased to 20% from 10%
  • Dodge duration increased to 1.5 seconds from 1 seconds
  • no longer increases duration of Dodge with basic attacks
  • critical strikes no longer decrease the current cooldown of Dodge

v2.1:

  • added Dodge
  • removed Redirect
  • removed Focus .
  • is no longer melee only.

v2.0:

  • added Focus
  • re-purposed Redirect
  • total cost increased from 1300 to 1500
  • is now melee only


Precise Partisan is great for melee carry champions that can deal allot of damage but usually have a hard time getting close or dealing with CC and burst damage.


Precise Partisan is not something that Marksmen will most likely not want to buy since it takes allot of poke damage from Marksmen since they wont be able to attack Champions from the backline or at a safe distance with basic attacks without being thrust into the face of the enemy leaving them very vulnerable.


Precise Partisan is great for the magic damage that scales with your bonus AD giving you good mixed damage late game.

  • item name changed to Precise Partisan from Duelist Blade.
  • now builds out of Strike Staff,Kircheis Shard and Long Sword from Hilted Dagger,Dagger and Dagger.
  • reduced attack speed to 30% from 50%.
  • added 30 attack damage.
  • New Effect: ENERGIZED STRIKE.
  • Removed: Dodge
  • New Effect: Rush now has a 60 seconds cooldown

  • builds from Hilted Dagger and Zeal from Hilted Dagger and Phage.

  • attack speed lowered from +45% to +35%
  • crit lowered from +30% to +20%

Switchblade is a good, cheap item for early game when you want to be safe especially in lane versus Ranged champions or even divers.


ranged champions have limited to one Deflect stack since it is easy for them to gain stacks overall.

v1.2:

  • reduced the max Deflect stacks to 2 from 3.
  • changed Deflect only requires 1 basic to gain a Deflect stack.
  • changed Deflect now stacks last for 1.5 seconds from 5 seconds.
  • changed Deflect ranged champions can only have 1 stack of Deflect.
  • removed 30% attack speed.
  • added 15 attack damage.
  • changed to build out of Long Sword from Dagger and Dagger.

v1.1:

  • ranged champions now have half the duration of Deflect stacks.
  • Deflect stack durations increased to 5 seconds from 3 seconds.
  • Deflect now takes 3 basic attacks gain stacks for both melee and ranged.

Berserkers Hand Axe is good for chasing enemys and running away from them in a battle.

  • ranged champions now have half the duration of Deflect stacks.
  • cooldown reduction reduced to 15% from 10%
  • Slash changed to now send multiple projectiles based on how many projectiles were destroyed for 2.5 seconds
  • Slash cooldown increased to 90 seconds from 50 seconds
  • Slash projectiles now have 700 range

v2.1:

  • builds out of Switchblade and Stinger from Hilted Dagger and Stinger
  • increased attack speed to 65% from 40%
  • Deflect has been changed
  • no longer melee only

Serrated Fang is a very powerful item with allot of damage potential.


the Ripper passive can life steal giving you some extra sustain when building life steal.

  • Changed the name of Crippling Strike to Ripper.
  • changed Ripper now takes 3 basic attacks to proc from 5 basic attacks.
  • removed crit chance
  • increased attack damage to 25 from 15

  • Crippling Strike no longer slows turn rate or movement speed it now does damage on the fifth every fifth basic attack

Bloodrazor Fang gives allot of sustain while in the fray of battle making it great for melee carrys who can stay in close and deal allot damage.


the Ripper passive can life steal giving you some extra sustain when landing it.
