Merick, The Ocean's Protector

In short: I wanted to make a DoT mage with the ability to support. More detailed information on his purpose, abilities, etc. will be explained in a future update.

Guardian Waves
(Innate): Whenever a nearby allied champion is below 20% health, the gain a shield equal to 50 + (15 x level) (+0.5 per ability power) damage for 8 seconds. This shield can be activated on more than one champion as long as they are within range of Merick. This can only happen once per champion every two minutes, regardless of cooldown reduction, and cannot be activated on Merick himself.

Downpour
(Active): Merick summons a large rainstorm at target area location for 5 seconds. Enemies in the area of effect are dealt magic damage every second, and are slowed by 15%. Allies in the area of effect recieve 20% increased health regeneration.
  • Cooldown: 12 seconds
  • Range to Center of AoE: 800
  • Radius of AoE: 600

Cost: 60 / 65 / 70 / 75 / 80 mana

Magic Damage per Second: 15 / 30 / 45 / 60 / 75 (+0.15 per ability power)

Total Magic Damage: 75 / 150 / 225 / 300 / 375 (+0.6 per ability power)

Quicksilver
(Active) - On ally cast: Merick empowers an allied champion with liquid mercury, greatly increasing their movement speed for 3 seconds, while increasing their attack damage and ability power for 6 seconds.

(Active) - On enemy cast: Merick burdens the target, reducing their armor and magic resist for 6 seconds, and increasing the slow effect of Downpour on the target for 3 seconds.

  • Cost: 100 mana
  • Cooldown: 14 seconds
  • Range: 650

Bonus Movement Speed: 70 / 85 / 100 / 115 / 130

Bonus Attack and Ability Power: 10 / 20 / 30 / 40 / 50

Silent Wake
(Passive): Merick emanates an aura that increases his and nearby champions' mana regeneration.
  • Passive Range: 1000

(Active) Merick briefly silences the target. The passive effect is lost while the ability is on cooldown.

  • Cost: 25 mana
  • Active Range: 600

Cooldown: 10 / 9 / 8 / 7 / 6 seconds

Bonus Mana Regeneration per 5 Seconds: 4 / 6 / 8 / 10 / 12

Silence Duration: 0.5 / 0.75 / 1 / 1.25 / 1.5 seconds

Drowning
(Active): After channeling for 1 second, Merick unleashes a massive whirlpool around him, dealing magic damage every second for 5 seconds to enemies within the area of effect. Enemies who come in contact with the whirlpool are also pulled towards Merick and stunned for 1 second. The pull and stun only proc once per enemy per cast of the ability.
  • Radius of AoE: 525

Cost: 150 / 175 / 200 mana

Cooldown: 120 / 110 / 100 seconds

Magic Damage per Second: 50 / 75 / 100 (+0.4 per ability power)

Total Magic Damage: 250 / 375 / 500 (+2.0 per ability power)

Notes:

  • Drowning can pull enemies through walls.
