Below you will find a comprehensive list of new features, cosmetics and balance changes that are currently active in the PBE relative to the live server. These changes are all highly tentative and are all subject to change, or may even be scrapped. A change that has been scrapped will be stricken through. Reasons content might be reverted includes bugs or end-of-cycle patch preparation.

PVP.net

  • The new Dark Star: Singularity Game Mode is on PBE right now.
  • 3v3 round-based game mode played on a brand new map called "Cosmic Ruins". Play as Thresh Thresh to hook and flay your enemies into the Dark Star and feed it souls, helping Thresh Thresh cause the Singularity and end the universe!
  • The Cosmic Ruins are a corrupted corner of a once-great world that has been harvested and ejected into the vast emptiness of space. A black hole looms in the center of the map, pulling all survivors into the infinite depths of the Dark Star.
  • Everyone plays as ThreshSquare.png Dark Star Thresh [S|L] with slightly modified abilities.
    • Death Sentence.png Cosmic Death Sentence
      • Range massively increased, cooldown reduced and mana cost removed.
      • Pulls enemies much farther based on their missing health.
      • If you throw a Death Sentence through the center of the Dark Star, it lights on fire and deals 250 bonus true damage to the target.
      • While an enemy is bound by your Death Sentence, you are immune to that enemy's Death Sentence.
      • You can dash through the Dark Star if you grab someone accross the star.
    • Dark Passage.png Gravitational Dark Passage
      • Shield removed, cooldown increased and mana cost removed.
      • Lantern duration reduced to 1.5 seconds from 4.
      • An ally in danger will be automatically saved by Dark Passage, without them needing to click on the lantern.
    • Flay.png Dark Energy Flay
      • Cooldown reduced and mana cost removed.
      • The passive part (bonus magic damage on next hit) builds up in only 4 seconds after you last basic attack and hits harder.
      • Throws enemies much farther based on their missing health, cooldown reduced.
    • The Box.png The Box
      • Ability removed. Not available on the Cosmic Ruins because Thresh doesn't need his box to end the universe.
  • Bo3 rounds. Round win is first to 100 points. Sacrifice an Rift Scuttler Abyss Scuttler earns 1 point and a champion earns 5 points.
  • Champions cannot be killed by basic attacks or abilities, the only way to kill a champion is by pulling them into the Dark Star, which will inta-kill them.
  • The lower health a champion is, the smaller he'll be, like Zac Zac.
  • Strategy: The lowest their health is, the further enemies will travel. Try basic attacking enemies before Death Sentence.png grabing or Flay.png flaying them.
  • Thresh will spawn in space around the edge of the map. He can move around in space and can step onto the Cosmic Ruins from wherever he like. When stepping in, he gets Slow icon slowed by 90% decaying over 0.5 seconds. While in space, Thresh is untargetable, cannot basic attack nor cast abilities and has 1000 movement speed. Spawn timers are super short.
  • Three Gravity Anchors are positionned around the Cosmic Ruines (blue orbs).Death Sentence.png Hooking one will pull Thresh to it.
  • Being saved by Dark Passage.png Dark Passage or Death Sentence.png hooking a Gravity Anchor will break out any disable/knockback and make him untargetable for the travel duration.
  • Health Relics will spawn around the map, they can be Death Sentence.png grabbed, and will restore full health.
  • Gold, experience and items have been disabled.
  • Everyone starts level 3, and has points automatically distributed to his skills.
  • Every champion has the same stats, 54 attack damage, 0 ability power, 16 armor, 32 magic resistance, 1.00 attack speed, 0% cooldown reduction, 0% critical strike chance and 385 movement speed.
  • Everyone also start with six cosmetic items in their inventory describing the game mode rules.

League of Legends VPBE

General

Magic resistance
  • All ranged champions, Kassadin Kassadin and Yasuo Yasuo magic resistance growth increased to 0.5 from 0.
    • Magic resistance increased to 30 - 38.5 (based on level) from 30.

Monsters

Rift Herald Rift Herald - Rework
  • Removed: Droping Doom's Eve.png Glimpse of the Void buff.
  • New appearance and animations.
  • New Effect: Now drops the Eye of the Herald when killed, which can be picked up by the killer's team. Eye of the Herald temporarily replaces the trinket slot. Upon activation, channels for a few seconds and spawns a friendly Rift Herald which will attack the enemy's nearest turret, inibitor or nexus.

    • Health regeneration growth reduced to 0.75 from 0.9.
  • Sap Magic.png Sap Magic
    • Rework: Maokai gathers magical energy from the nature around him. Every few seconds, his next attack uses that energy to heal him for 15 - 165 (based on level) (+ 6 - 12 (based on level)% maximum health). Each time Maokai casts a spell or if struck by an enemy's spell, Sap Magic's cooldown is reduced by 2.5 seconds.

  • Bramble Smash.png Bramble Smash
    • Renamed Bramble Smash from Arcane Smash.
    • Mana cost reduced to 40 / 45 / 50 / 55 / 60 from 45 / 50 / 55 / 60 / 65.

  • Sapling Toss.png Sapling Toss
    • Cooldown reduced to 11 seconds from 12.
    • Mana cost reduced to 60 at all ranks from 60 / 70 / 80 / 90 / 100.
    • Sapling duration reduced to 30 seconds at all ranks from 40 / 45 / 50 / 55 / 60.
    • Base damage reduced to 35 / 60 / 85 / 110 / 135 from 80 / 120 / 160 / 200 / 240.
    • Removed: Damage scaling with 60% AP.
    • New Effect: Damage now scales with 6 / 6.5 / 7 / 7.5 / 8% (+ 2% per 100 AP) of target's maximum health.
    • New Effect: Sapling duration is increased to 30 / 40 / 50 / 60 / 70 seconds when placed in brush.
    • New Effect: Sapling placed in brush deals double damage over 2 seconds to all enemies hit.
    • New Effect: Damage is capped at 300 against non-champions, and 600 when placed in brush.
  • Nature's Grasp.png Nature's Grasp
    • Rework: Maokai summons a colossal wall of brambles and thorns that slowly advances forwards, dealing 150 / 225 / 300 (+ 75% AP) magic damage and rooting any enemies struck for 0.6 - 2.4 seconds, increasing with distance traveled.
    • Range: 2500
    • Mana Cost: 100
    • Cooldown: 120 / 110 / 100 seconds
Sejuani Sejuani
  • Fury of the North.png Fury of the North
    • Renamed Fury of the North from Frost Armor.
    • Frost Armor: Sejuani receives Frost Armor if she hasn't taken damage in the last 9 seconds, lingering for 1 / 2 / 3 seconds after taking damage from enemy champions. Frost Armor engulfs Bristle Bristle in True Ice, becoming immune to Slow icon slows and gains 100 (+ 100% total armor) bonus armor and 100 (+ 100% total magic resistance) bonus magic resistance.
    • Icebreaker: Enemies Stun icon stunned by Sejuani are frozen. Sejuani's next basic attack or ability against them deals 10 / 15 / 20% of their maximum health as bonus magic damage, or 400 against minions and monsters.
  • Arctic Assault.png Arctic Assault
    • Mana cost reduced to 70 / 75 / 80 / 85 / 90 from 80 / 85 / 90 / 95 / 100.
    • Cooldown reduced to 13 / 12.5 / 12 / 11.5 / 11 seconds from 15 / 14 / 13 / 12 / 11.
    • Base damage reduced to 60 / 90 / 120 / 150 / 180 from 80 / 125 / 170 / 215 / 260.
  • Winter's Wrath.png Winter's Wrath
    • Renamed Winter's Wrath from Flail of the Northern Winds.
    • Mana cost increased to 60 at all ranks from 40 / 35 / 30 / 25 / 20.
    • Cooldown reduced to 7 / 6.5 / 6 / 5.5 / 5 seconds from 11 / 10 / 9 / 8 / 7.
    • Damage type changed to physical from magic.
    • Rework: Sejuani swings her flail in a cone in the target direction, dealing 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 / 50 (+ 1.5% maximum health) physical damage to all enemies hit and Airborne icon knocking back minions and monsters. She then lashes out with her flail in a straight line in the same direction, dealing 40 / 80 / 120 / 160 / 200 (+ 4.5% maximum health) additional physical damage and briefly Slow icon slowing to all enemies hit.
  • Permafrost.png Permafrost
    • Mana cost reduced to 20 from 55.
    • Cooldown reduced to 1.5 seconds at all ranks from 10 / 9 / 8 / 7 / 6.
    • New Effect: Nearby melee allied champions' basic attack now apply Frost to enemy champions and large monsters.
    • New Effect: Require 4 stacks of Frost to activate.
    • Base damage reduced to 40 / 60 / 80 / 100 / 120 from 80 / 105 / 130 / 155 / 180.
    • AP ratio reduced to 30% AP from 50% AP.
    • Removed: Slowing for 50 / 55 / 60 / 65 / 70% for 1.5 seconds.
    • New Effect: Activating Permafrost now stuns them for 1 / 1.25 / 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 seconds.
    • New Effect: Enemies that has been stunned by Sejuani cannot gain Frost stacks for 9 / 4 seconds.
  • Glacial Prison.png Glacial Prison
    • Cooldown reduced to 120 / 100 / 80 seconds from 130 / 115 / 100.
    • Rework: Sejuani throws a True Ice bola in a line, dealing 100 / 125 / 150 (+ 40% AP) magic damage and Stun icon stunning for 1 / 2 second(s) the first enemy champion that collides with. The bola's base damage increases the further it travels, up to 150 / 187.5 / 225. The bola shatters upon collision or reaching maximum range, creating a storm for 2 seconds, Slow icon slowing other enemies by 30%. At the end of the duration the storm shatters the ground, deals 150 / 250 / 350 (+ 80% AP) magic damage and Slow icon slowing by 80% for 3 seconds.
Zac Zac
  • Stretching Strikes.png Stretching Strikes
    • Renamed Stretching Strikes from Stretching Strike.
    • Cooldown increased to 12 / 11 / 10 / 9 / 8 seconds from 9 / 8.5 / 8 / 7.5 / 7.
    • Rework: Zac's arm stretches and grabs the first enemy it hits, dealing 50 / 70 / 90 / 110 / 130 (+ 30% AP) magic damage and briefly slowing them. Zac's next basic attack is replaced with a long range smack that repeats the initial magic damage and slow effect. If Zac grabs a different enemy with each attack he'll throw them towards each other, dealing 50 / 70 / 90 / 110 / 130 (+ 30% AP) magic damage in an area if they collide.
  • Elastic Slingshot.png Elastic Slingshot
    • Maximum channel duration reduced to 0.9 / 1 / 1.1 / 1.2 / 1.3 seconds from 0.9 / 1.05 / 1.2 / 1.35 / 1.5.
    • Base damage reduced to 80 / 120 / 160 / 200 / 240 from 80 / 130 / 180 / 230 / 280.
  • Let's Bounce!.png Let's Bounce!
    • Rework:
      • First cast: Zac squishes himself down, making him immune to Crowd Control for up to 2.5 seconds. Any enemies standing on top of him are slowed by 30 / 40 / 50%.
      • Second cast: Charging for at least 1 second before recasting causes Zac to scoop up enemies on top of him, carrying them towards the target location. While flying through the air Zac is unstoppable. Upon landing nearby enemies take 150 / 250 / 350 (+ 70% AP) magic damage and are briefly slowed. Reactivating before Zac charges up knocks back nearby enemies instead.

  • Favor - Rework: Enemy minions killed by your allies sometimes drop coins that give either Gold 20 or restore 8% missing mana (minimum 15).
  • Removed: Unique Passive - Favor: Grants Gold 4 and restores 5 health each time a nearby enemy minion dies that you didn't kill (1400 range).
  • New Effect: Quest.
    • Quest: Earn Gold 650 using this item and upgrade to Nomad's Medallion item.png Nomad's Medallion.
    • Reward: Favor is upgraded to Emperor's Favor and you recieve an Elixir of Skill.
      • Emperor's Favor: Enemy minions killed by your allies sometimes drop coins that give either Gold 30 or restore 8% missing mana (minimum 15). Champion takedowns grant both the gold and mana.

  • Unique Active - Metallicize: Increases maximum health by 40% and increases champion size, but reduces the damage you deal by 60% for 4 seconds (90 second cooldown). If Stone Skin is active, instead increases maximum health by 100%.

Pentakil 2nd Album
  • Praeco has tweeted out a small teaser for the next PENTAKILL album. He also noted that the vocalist on the track is Jorn Lande.[1][2]
  • Previews of the album were also played during the concert at League Fest.[3]
