Innate: Vel'Koz's abilities Deconstruct enemies every time they are hit, stacking up to 3 times. Deconstruction stacks last for 7 seconds. Vel'Koz's basic attacks refresh Deconstruction stacks' duration on-hit.

The third stack consumes them all, dealing 33 - 169 (based on level) (+ 50% AP) bonus true damage.

Plasma Fission

First Active: Vel'Koz fires an energy bolt in a line, stopping at the first enemy hit, dealing magic damage and Slow icon slowing by 70% for a few seconds, decaying over the duration. After a 0.25 seconds delay, and while the bolt is in the air, Vel'Koz can reactivate Plasma Fission.

  • Magic Damage: 80 / 120 / 160 / 200 / 240 (+ 60% AP)
  • Slow Duration: 1 / 1.4 / 1.8 / 2.2 / 2.6
Plasma Fission 2

Second Active: Vel'Koz splits the energy bolt in two, each firing in opposite directions perpendicular to the original bolt's trajectory as well as copying its effects.

The initial bolt splits automatically upon reaching maximum range or upon hitting an enemy unit. Plasma Fission restores mana per target killed.

Plasma Fission is a linear, colliding skillshot with a splitting component.

Additional Information:

  • An enemy cannot be hit by multiple bolts even when having blocked one with a spell shield.
  • There is a short delay before Plasma Fission can be reactivated, making the primary bolt travel ~500 units before it can be split.
  • If one considers the primary and each secondary bolt as a triangle's legs, and by use of the Pythagorean theorem, Plasma Fission's would travel ~1521 units diagonally (hypotenuse on each side)

Void Rift

Passive: Vel'Koz stores a charge of Void Rift periodically, up to a maximum of 2 stored at once.

Active: Vel'Koz opens a rift to the void that cuts through the ground in a line, dealing magic damage and leaving behind a trail. After a 0.25 seconds delay, the entire trail detonates, dealing magic damage to enemies standing upon it.

  • Initial Magic Damage: 30 / 50 / 70 / 90 / 110 (+ 15% AP)

Ability Details
Void Rift is a linear, pass-through skillshot with a linear area of effect component.

Additional Information:

  • Each damage portions applies an Organic Deconstruction.png Organic Deconstruction stack.
  • It is not possible to have more than one Void Rift active at a time.
  • Vel'Koz can cast Void Rift while moving but not while attacking.
  • Unbreakable.png Unbreakable and Wind Wall.png Wind Wall will not destroy the part created by Void Rift before being destroyed.


Tectonic Disruption

Tectonic Disruption

Active: Vel'Koz hurls a disruptive anomaly at the target location, briefly providing Sight icon sight, dealing magic damage and Stun icon suspending enemies hit for 0.75 seconds. Enemies close to Vel'Koz at the time of impact are also slightly Airborne icon knocked back in the direction of the cast.

  • Magic Damage: 70 / 100 / 130 / 160 / 190 (+ 30% AP)
Ability Details
Tectonic Disruption is a ground-targeted area of effect.

Additional Information:

  • Tectonic Disruption's suspension is affected by Mercury's Treads item.png Tenacity and can be removed (Quicksilver, Cleanse.png Cleanse, Remove Scurvy.png Remove Scurvy)
  • The required proximity for displacement is relative to Vel'Koz's position when casting and not his current one.
  • Tectonic Disruption always takes ~0.5 seconds to land regardless of Vel'Koz's distance from the impact zone.
  • Although considered to be a projectile, Unbreakable.png Unbreakable and Wind Wall.png Wind Wall will block Tectonic Disruption, but will not destroy it. This is most likely a bug.


Life Form Disintegration Ray

Passive: Organic Deconstruction.png Deconstructing enemy champions marks them as Researched Researched for 7 seconds. Basic attacks and ability damage will refresh this duration.

Life Form Disintegration Ray

Active: Vel'Koz channels for 2.5 seconds and projects an energy beam in a line. The ray's trajectory updates itself over the duration to face the cursor. Reactivating Life Form Disintegration Ray immediately ends its effects.

The ray deals magic damage in 0.25 seconds intervals to enemies caught in its wake, and Slow icon slows them by 20% for 1 second. Organic Deconstruction.png Deconstruction is applied every 0.7 seconds to enemies hit, up to 3 stacks. Researched Researched enemies take true damage instead.

Life Form Disintegration is a linear area of effect.

Additional Information:

  • Life Form Disintegration Ray's trajectory updates gradually (moving the cursor from one side of Vel'Koz to the other will not make him rotate instantly).
  • Vel'Koz will only start Researched Researching enemies once Life Form Disintegration Ray has been learned.
  • If an enemy champion becomes Researched Researched during Life Form Disintegration Ray's channel, it will take true damage for the remainder of the channel.
